When it comes to buying concert tickets, there are some shows that are subpar and then there are some shows that knock it out of the park. Panic! at the Disco is an American rock band that’s definitely worth seeing live in concert. History of Panic! at the Disco

Panic! at the Disco first formed in 2004. That’s when childhood friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie got together to create a band that would become a phenomenon. It was hard-going at first, though. Ross had a falling out with his father after dropping out of college, and Brendon Urie was kicked out of his parents’ house after dropping out of high school to pursue music. But together, the group continued to relentlessly pursue their dream.

Panic! at the Disco’s style has evolved over the years. It’s been described as including emo, pop punk, electro, vaudeville, and baroque pop elements. And according to Ross in an article in Rolling Stone, “Our new songs are more like classic rock than modern rock. We got older and started listening to different music—and this seems like the natural thing to do right now.”

What the Concerts are Like

The concerts presented by Panic! at the Disco are full of energy. One reviewer described a concerts in a play-by-play, writing “They had smoke pouring out of the floor on ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ and horn players lending a Mardi Gras vibe to ‘Crazy=Genius,’ which built to a climax with Urie whipping off his shirt to get behind a second drum kit and trade off fills with touring drummer Dan Pawlovich.”

The band goes back and forth between newer tracks and older, throwback favorites from previous albums. Usually including captivating visuals and light production, this is a live concert that you won’t regret attending.
