Rapper Vince Staples is planning his first North American headlining tour in early 2017. He will begin the series of concerts with a performance in San Diego, California on February 24. The six-week Life Aquatic tour will visit 26 cities and will end at the Phoenix Lights Festival in Phoenix, Arizona on April 9. The tour will stop in cities across the United States, including Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, and Washington, DC, as well as several cities in Canada.
Kilo Kish will open for Staples on the Life Aquatic tour. Kish appeared on the song “Loco.” The poster for the Life Aquatic tour is inspired by the Wes Anderson film and shows the two MCs in Steve Zissou uniforms.

Vince Staples is a member of the hip hop trio Cutthroat Boyz. He appeared on albums with Odd Future and collaborated on a mix tape called Stolen Youth with Mac Miller. Staples made a name for himself with his EP Hell Can Wait, which was released in October 2014 and included the singles “Hands Up” and “Blue Suede.” He released his first album, Summertime ’06, in 2015.
New Tour Will Promote Most Recent EP, Prima Donna
The Life Aquatic tour is designed to promote Staples’ most recent EP, Prima Donna, which was released in August 2016 and was co-produced by James Blake, No I.D., and DJ Dahi. Staples performed at several international festivals over the summer, including Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Primavera Sound Barcelona, and Glastonbury.
