Godsmack and Volbeat announce 2019 North American tour

Veteran hard-rock act Godsmack look to remain active in 2019. After previously announcing a six-week tour of Europe, the Massachusetts group revealed that they will be hitting the road with Danish rockers Volbeat in North America at the spring.

The trek kicks off with a trio of Godsmack festival dates in early April but then jumps into a normal schedule of shows with Volbeat on April 16h in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The series finishes up May 11th in Videotron Centre at Quebec City, Quebec. Even though Godsmack will headline several of the dates, a number of the Canadian shows will probably be co-headlining gigs using Volbeat.

You may catch tickets to the upcoming jaunt here.

Godsmack published their latest record, When Legends Rise, this past April. The disk hit the top 10 of the Billboard 200 upon release and has been No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums, Top Hard Music Albums, Top Alternative Albums, along with Top Independent Albums graphs.

In terms of Volbeat, this Friday (December 14th), the group will release Let’s Boogie! Live From Telia Parken, a CD and concert movie that commemorates their show in the titular football stadium in Copenhagen. The quartet have been the hometown band to headline and sell out that place, drawing in over 48,000 fans.

Meanwhile, the Godsmack’s 2019 European tour makes up for a collapse 2018 trek the group had to postpone after the death of guitarist Tony Rombola’s mature son.

Mike Shinoda to headline fall 2018 North American Monster Energy Outbreak Tour

Featured image

Mike Shinoda has been tapped as the headliner of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour this fall, marking his first full-scale solo trek of North America.

The vocalist and multi-instrumentalist released his first solo album, Post Traumatic, in June. The tour announcement comes a little more than a year after Shinoda’s Linkin Park bandmate Chester Bennington took his own life.

Along with performing, Shinoda will present art pieces that he created while making Post Traumatic at each stop on the tour.

“Listening to a recorded song is not the same as experiencing that song live on stage,” explained Shinoda in a press release. “Similarly, seeing a painting in an album or book is not the same as seeing the original, in person. In sharing a live experience with you, my hope is to inspire questions, answers, and reflection — not only about my story, but about your own. The search for meaning is boundless, and art is often one of our best vehicles.”

The trek kicks off October 10th in Montreal, Canada, and wraps November 17th in Silver Spring, Michigan. Tickets for the tour go on sale to the public this Friday, with various pre-sales beginning tomorrow. More information and ticket links can be found at the official Monster Energy Outbreak Tour page.
