Larger Than Life Concert Series in Las Vegas
The series of shows are called Larger Than Life. The name is taken from the title of the Backstreet Boys’ 1999 hit. The group will perform at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
The first concert will take place on March 1, 2017, and the rest will be scattered throughout the next four months, with the final show scheduled for July 1. If the 18-date “trial residency” is successful, it is likely that other dates will be added.
Members of the band said they wanted their shows in Las Vegas to truly be “larger than life.” Fans can expect an energetic party atmosphere where the band will perform all of their classic hits that made them famous.
Planet Hollywood hopes that adding the Backstreet Boys concerts to their entertainment lineup will help draw in diverse audiences, including both millennials and older visitors. Las Vegas attracts visitors of all ages, and millennials and Gen Xers make up over half of the city’s tourists.
