David Foster and Katharine McPhee Bring Their Show on the Road

Sixteen-time Grammy Award(r)-winning musician, composer, and producer David Foster will team up with Katharine McPhee – an acclaimed singer/TV/Broadway star known for American Idol, Smash and Waitress – to bring their show on tour. Expect an intimate evening featuring Foster’s hits from Chicago, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Josh Groban as well as Katharine’s best known tracks from American Idol Smash and Waitress!

About David Foster

Foster has won 16 Grammy awards out of an astounding 30 nominations, as a producer and songwriter, not to mention being awarded with several honourary doctorates and being featured as part of Hollywood Walk of Fame Star.

Foster made his mark in the 80s as an accomplished producer and arranger, producing such notable hits as Chicago’s “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” Peter Cetera’s “The Glory of Love,” and John Parr’s “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion).” Additionally, Foster wrote hits for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, and N’ Sync among many other artists.

Foster, well known for his bombastic pop kitsch, once saved an actor named Ben Vereen’s life by performing CPR after being struck by a car on Pacific Coast Highway in 1985. Additionally, during his career he married supermodel Yolanda Hadid and Linda Thompson (Caitlyn Jenner’s mother). David Foster’s Career

As keyboardist of Skylark (whose song Wildflower reached number 10 on Billboard in 1972), David Foster moved to Los Angeles where he soon established himself as producer/songwriter for many of pop music’s top acts – earning 14 Grammy awards and numerous platinum records along the way.

Foster created an extraordinary collection of No.1 singles during the ’80s for Chicago, Peter Cetera and John Parr – including “Hard to Say I’m Sorry”, Peter Cetera “You’re the Inspiration”, John Parr’s “Man in Motion”, as well as writing hits for Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones and Olivia Newton-John.

Foster won his way onto Asia’s Got Talent as a judge, becoming an instant household name across China.
