The Art of Music

Music is a human art form composed of sound that humans create to convey emotion or aesthetic pleasure, often structured according to cultural standards of rhythm, melody and harmony. Both traditional folk songs and modern electronic composition can fall under this art category.

Plato (428-348/347 BCE) considered music an integral component of his ethics; Pythagoras, of triangle Pythagorean theore fame, believed musical rhythms mirrored celestial movement.

1. Emotions

Music can be used to convey emotion and evoke various moods through manipulating pitch (inflections, vibrato and slides), volume (dynamics, accents and tremolo), rhythm and duration (tempo fluctuations with glissandos, staccatos or staccatos), harmony and timbre (changing from light piano sound to deep piano sound) respectively.

Different genres of music elicit different emotions. While classical music tends to promote feelings of relaxation and calmness, heavy metal tends to increase levels of anxiety and arousal due to their different tempos and instrumentations. Furthermore, how a person responds emotionally to music may also depend on cultural factors as well as memories.

2. Structure

Physics and mathematics define structure as the arrangement and organization of parts or components that connect one to the other, or its shape.

Musically speaking, the structure of a song refers to how its sections come together and flow seamlessly. To be effective musicians who compose and arrange music successfully, understanding various types of structure and form in music is vitally important in playing, composing and writing songs.

The chorus is often the highlight of any song and features strong vocals and energetic instrumentation. Repetitively featured throughout the piece, its repeat can often be preceded by pre-chorus or introduced through verse; often serving as the link between verses; and eventually followed by either an outro or coda.

3. Craft

Music is an art that blends creativity with technical skill. The goal is to craft compositions that reach out emotionally to their listeners and leave them wanting more, yet can still remain technically proficient. Achieve this requires taking risks while remaining true to oneself as an artist.

Composers’ craft can be strengthened through the use of advanced technology like digital audio workstations (DAWs), virtual instruments, and sound libraries; however, it’s essential that they remember these tools are just means towards an end goal.

At times, even composers who enjoy art form may encounter creative block. When this occurs, seeking feedback from peers or mentors can help refocus one’s mind and reignite inspiration – ultimately the key factor here is keeping writing while pushing yourself further to improve.

4. Commercial

Music used without proper licensing could land you in serious legal trouble, whether for business purposes or podcast monetization purposes. By failing to pay royalties you could be infringing upon copyright law and incurring serious fines.

There are solutions available for commercial music. There are websites offering royalty-free music at one-off fees that eliminate ongoing royalty costs.

Prior to making any purchases, read and compare each site’s terms and conditions in order to find one that meets your project needs. It’s also essential that when selecting music for commercial videos you take into account your business goals as well as target audiences; choosing appropriate pieces can elevate your brand while building trust among viewers – music licensing also saves both time and hassle when searching for songs for projects.

5. Contagious

Music serves many functions: it elicits emotions, contributes significantly to culture and provides entertainment; all while fulfilling our quest for beauty. Music seems to also possess contagious properties.

Researchers at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario have discovered that music downloads following a hit song closely resemble epidemic curves used to monitor infectious disease spread. Led by graduate student Dora Rosati and using mathematical tools normally applied to studying disease to examine factors that drive its popularity, their team utilized mathematical tools that are typically applied when tracking an epidemic to study what factors determine song popularity.

Their research indicates that music spreads via interpersonal interactions, cultural sharing and word of mouth. Furthermore, they calculated a basic reproduction number, an epidemiologic metric designed to demonstrate disease transmissibility assuming no immunity in populations across multiple music genres.

WWE Raw – The Most Iconic Show in Sports Entertainment

WWE Raw has long been considered an icon of sports entertainment, producing over 1600 episodes since 2003 and helping launch many star careers, such as John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H.

In 1993, WWF Superstars debuted on USA Network as their flagship program until 2000 when it switched over to TNN/Spike TV for five years.

It airs on Monday nights

The show airs each Monday evening on USA Network in the US, Hulu and YouTube in other countries that don’t provide livestreaming (but do allow viewing via broadcast).

The show features various on-air personalities such as male and female wrestlers, ring announcers, commentators and on-screen authority figures as well as regular segments hosted by members of its roster.

Early years of WWE television were marked by more of a gimmick-heavy style, with events like Irwin R. Schyster tearing off Tatanka’s headdress and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan conducting interviews as trademark events. Over time, however, their show has evolved more towards storylines and characters; although still incorporating notable gimmicks such as crossing referee arms in an “X” formation to signal disqualifications. Most recently in January 2024 they signed a deal with Netflix which will see their flagship weekly program migrate over there.

It is produced in New York City

Raw is produced in New York City, which is known for its restaurants and cultural institutions. Many of its wrestlers live nearby, so producers try to connect with local audiences by including New York culture into storylines. Furthermore, the production team strives to make shows as engaging and enjoyable as possible for its target audience.

In 2002, WWF unveiled a revamped set for Raw that included a larger TitanTron. As part of these changes, Raw Is War was changed to simply Raw while its second hour became known as the Raw Zone; furthermore, its chyron graphics were updated with a fresh look.

This program airs on USA Network in the US, CBC Television (CKVR-TV in Barrie Ontario and CKMI-TV in Quebec in Canada), Universo Latin America and Netflix UK/Ireland on a tape-delayed basis – previously it had Russian commentary until 2022.

It is filmed in HD

Raw is shot in HD, which can make its large file sizes seem daunting to some users. But with some knowledge and preparation, the RAW files provide maximum flexibility during post-production but require additional work to process.

At its inception, Raw was one of few wrestling shows taped live and broadcast each week, giving WWF the flexibility to produce storylines and angles as they occurred, leading to an exciting and engaging program.

Original Raw Set Features The original Raw set featured red ring-ropes, blue apron and steps with a simple staging area, before being changed in 1997 with “RAW Is War” painted onto the ring and later the TitanTron in 2002; additionally it included Chyron graphics at the bottom. When WWE went HD in 2008 they replaced this version with one using different TitanTrons that featured their network logo in place of RAW on top.

It is a pay-per-view

Pay-per-view (PPV) is an event streaming system in which viewers pay a subscription fee in order to view certain events broadcast over their television sets at the same time, unlike video on demand systems that let viewers watch shows at their convenience. Popular PPV events include sporting events, movies and pornographic movies.

WWE Pay-Per-View (PPVs) events are special televised events that typically last three hours and feature some of the biggest matches and storylines from across their federation, along with their conclusion. They are heavily promoted during the weeks and months leading up to them by television ads showcasing past PPV events as a preview to what to expect at each one.

DAZN only permits subscribers with an active paid subscription to purchase pay-per-view (PPV) events. If your subscription has been temporarily suspended when trying to buy one, DAZN may prompt you to reinstate it before continuing the purchase. It does not accept payment through mobile carrier bills; rather it requires using either a credit or debit card linked with your DAZN account in order to complete your PPV purchase.

The Benefits of Music in Business

Music is just sounds put together according to a plan; those responsible are known as composers.

Philosophers and scientists have explored music’s various purposes for centuries. German astronomer Johannes Kepler believed its harmonics correlated to planet movement while Pythagoreans perceived musical soundwaves mathematically.

Background music

Music can help your business to impress and inspire its staff, serving as one of the most powerful tools for improving morale and productivity while remaining cost-effective.

There’s no denying the power of music on human minds. Studies have demonstrated how listening to music can aid your learning speed by speeding up acquisition of new knowledge, while simultaneously strengthening reasoning processes related to complex problems.

If you want to achieve relaxation through music, choose songs with slow tempos as these will accentuate their effects and sync your brainwaves for a relaxed state. Look for songs with gentle melodies, soothing harmonies and soft instrumentation; instrumental tracks or genres such as classical, ambient and jazz may also work well.

Other ways of listening include nature sounds such as raindrops or ocean waves; however, some individuals may find them distracting. No matter what form of relaxation music you select, it is vitally important to practice mindfulness when listening; otherwise it might exacerbate tension rather than ease it. Make sure that when listening, do so in an undisturbed space without distractions in order to maximize the experience.

Music for meditation

Meditative music promotes relaxation, concentration, and tranquility – it’s often used as the backdrop to meditation sessions, yoga classes, or other holistic health practices.

This genre should feature slow tempo music with no lyrics and low pulse, helping you remain grounded and relaxed during meditation sessions.

Some meditation music features field recordings of natural sounds like ocean waves or babbling brooks; these recordings can transport you to tranquil landscapes and foster deep connections to Mother Earth.

Other meditation music uses electronic isochronic tones music to provide an alternative type of electronic rhythmic music known as entrainment to help drown out negative thoughts and achieve an altered state of awareness for its listeners. This musical style can also help drown out negative memories associated with listening.

Music for healing

Music can not only relax the mind, but can also offer physical comfort. From instrumental tunes that massage the senses to rhythmic blues that speak directly to pain but still offer hope, finding music with soothing instrumental tunes can help relieve stress, soothe sore muscles, and lift spirits – whatever works for you is all that matters!

Utilizing music to soothe physical discomfort is a standard practice in hospitals and hospices, according to research. Listening to soothing melodies has been shown to lower anxiety levels, improve moods, and even decrease the need for sedatives or painkillers during surgery or other medical procedures.

While classical music has long been associated with therapeutic benefits, other unconventional genres offer transformative potential for well-being as well. Ambient and drone to post-rock each offer an experience which can tap into different aspects of emotional well-being; post-rock’s lack of vocals allows listeners to focus solely on its instrumental compositions for deeper self-reflection and relaxation; additionally music promotes social interactions while creating a sense of community.

WWE Raw

Raw is WWE’s flagship show and airs every Monday evening since 1993.

Mick Foley (as Mankind) helped Raw achieve its highest ratings ever by parodying TV show This Is Your Life with scenes featuring him with people from his past such as his home economics teacher and gym teacher.

The History of Raw

Twenty-five years ago, wrestling was an entirely different beast. Most nationally broadcast WWF shows were prerecorded and showed highlights from matches that took place days or weeks earlier; Raw was revolutionary because it broadcast live each week from New York’s Manhattan Center with competitive and storyline-developing matches featuring top stars of the organization.

Ric Flair’s victory against Mr. Perfect in January 1993 and The 1-2-3 Kid’s over Razor Ramon later that year were two examples of memorable matches which helped the show achieve some of its highest ratings in its early days.

Viacom was awarded the WWE television contract and acquired WCW in 2000, and since then it has aired Raw on TNN weekly with occasional holiday-season episodes being added as well as posting episodes to YouTube for countries that don’t receive WWE programming directly on television.

The Set

Raw scores that do not contain None will be converted to a common format; “eeg” will convert to uV, while “mag” and “grad” converts into fT/cm values.

Stim events that should be added. If True is selected, existing events on all stim channels are removed before adding new ones.

How to group channels for plotting. Options available include “type”, “original”, and “selection”. Elekta provides channel groupings which only work for Neuromag data while “position” groups channels by their positions on the topomap.

The Matches

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes returned to Raw and began building towards WrestleMania. Also, Becky Lynch faced Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing match; and Sami Zayn signed an exclusive contract with Gunther.

Cathy Kelley stands outside Chad Gable’s locker room accompanied by security guards, seeking comment from Gable about his Money in the Bank Qualifying Match against Ludwig Kaiser and reports of his supposed demise have been greatly exaggerated, according to Gable himself.

The Awesome Truth are determined to put an end to Judgment Day and take advantage of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre’s distraction to attack Dakota Kai and Zoey Stark from behind with a Z-360 and qualify for Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The Hosts

Raw’s history is littered with celebrity guest hosts from diverse fields – Bob Barker and Hugh Jackman are often fondly remembered, while others can have more divisive effects, such as Jeremy Piven or Ken Jeong.

Seth Green stands out as the ultimate host. His debut on Raw on July 13, 2009 set the standard for celebrity hosts in WWE, later that night he and The Miz formed ShoMiz together forming one of its signature tag teams – now an icon.

Daphne Heder was another notable host during this era of Raw. Although she seemed out-of-place when participating in R-Truth and Batista’s match, her backstage interaction was hilarious and memorable. NASCAR driver Carl Edwards made an unforgettable entrance with his car – one of many unforgettable moments ever seen on Raw from non-wrestlers!

How to Watch NFL Football Without Cable

Football fans without cable have several ways of streaming NFL games online. An HDTV antenna provides the cheapest solution, picking up local over-the-air channels such as CBS, Fox and NBC for over-the-air broadcast.

Use a VPN to fool streaming services into thinking you reside in the US; however, this method has its own set of drawbacks.

Origins

American football can trace its roots back to European sports like soccer and rugby, though its development in America can largely be credited to Walter Camp, who helped create modern American football by altering its rules so that eleven players on each team could participate, creating downs, and creating the line of scrimmage.

The National Football League was established in 1920 in Canton, Ohio under its current name – National Football League – which became official in 1922. Today it boasts 32 franchises across North America.

Rules

NFL Football’s rules are established by the Competition Committee, made up of team executives and coaches. Votes by clubs determine if these rules remain in effect; any alterations can be voted upon at anytime.

The field of play is defined by sidelines and end lines, while end zones are denoted by goallines 10 yards from either end line.

When participating in a Series of Downs, the ball becomes dead only when not placed legally onto the playing surface (7-2). Otherwise, it remains alive.

Offense

To start a play, the offensive team must form a specific formation behind their own line of scrimmage. At least seven eligible players should form part of this formation in order to receive forward passes from opponents.

The offensive team strives to advance the ball into the opposing end zone for a touchdown or kick it through goalposts for a field goal, or score by running or throwing into their opponent’s endzone for two-point conversion. Whoever scores more points will win.

Defense

Defense is at the core of every NFL team. Successful defenses must be adaptable and flexible enough to adapt quickly in response to different playing styles or cover schemes that might surprise opposing offenses.

2022 saw more teams using two high safeties systems to stop deep passing plays more effectively, increasing the frequency and effectiveness of defensive blitzing plays.

Each defensive player may wear a radio speaker in his helmet, with only one primary user and backup user present on the field at one time; if one enters, the primary user must immediately inform the Referee.

Special teams

Special teams in NFL Football are often underestimated, yet can make a tremendous difference in game outcomes. From gaining field position and running trick plays, to setting up score drives or creating touchdowns – special teams play an invaluable role in team’s success.

These teams consist of players who come on for any kicking play (kickoffs, punts or field goals). Often times this group includes both offensive and defensive players.

Kickoff teams typically consist of several players who run downfield to tackle returners on kickoffs.

Punts

On fourth down, teams may opt to punt rather than attempt to gain first downs. Punting allows them to gain field position that could pin an opposing team deeper within their territory.

Quality punts can reduce an opponent’s actual scoring by as much as 0.7 points; their best examples should come close to the goal line.

Kickoffs

The NFL has drastically revised their kickoff system, eliminating swivel hip-drop tackles and making it easier for players to regain possession after turnovers. They have also moved the point from which kickoffs take place and instituted a 10-yard-back restriction line for non-kicking teams that wish to kickoff.

The kicking team will utilize two returners while the remainder of its members line up between 30- and 35-yard lines in an innovative new zone between these lines, significantly decreasing running head starts while forcing coverage players to focus more heavily on hand techniques rather than raw speed.

Referees

The NFL’s officiating department provides officials with ongoing evaluation, training and mentorship. Position-specific videos are distributed as needed while senior leaders from this department meet with crews regularly to review games and assist them in managing calls more effectively.

Many current NFL referees began officiating youth football and high school football before transitioning into college or the NFL. To gain experience on-field, many referees attend summer camps hosted by colleges to gain on-field exposure. All positions require certain mechanics.

Monster Jam: The Next Wave of Technology is Changing the Game

Before attending a Monster Jam show, it’s essential to set aside any preconceived notions you may have of what it might entail. Some might assume monster truck shows cater to a group of rednecks (and that may be true to some extent), but the sport has much wider appeal.

Each driver brings something special to events, whether they’re racing, competing in two-wheel skills competition or freestyling. Continue reading to gain more insight into these event’s trucks, drivers and fan culture that keep events alive!

Track Design

Monster Jam events draw thousands of spectators each year around the world to witness Monster Jam drivers and trucks in action. Behind-the-scenes, hundreds of employees ensure its smooth running: monitoring driver safety; choreographing entry of trucks into hot pits (47 vehicles are staged between rounds with two in and out at any one time); attending to broken trucks both on- and off-track; assuring everyone has an enjoyable time; as well as monitoring fan satisfaction with every performance.

Each truck boasts standard truck features such as a roll cage and seats, in addition to unique customizations such as Earth Shaker’s firesuit that pays tribute to construction crews.

Before Feld Motor Sports purchased Monster Jam, there was no formal training program for drivers of Monster Jam trucks and trucks. Now they must complete a Monster Jam University basic course before driving in any stadium or arena; these courses familiarize drivers with local conditions as they focus on safety as they learn the ropes of driving Monster Jam trucks and tracks.

Safety

Monster truck drivers put in months and years of training to develop the physical strength and dexterity necessary to operate these massive machines. They wear fireproof driving suits, helmets and other protective gear during this process as well as using custom seats secured to their roll cage.

Monster Jam trucks are equipped with engine kill switches to shut down in case a driver panics or loses control. All venues require a 30-foot buffer zone between spectators and dirt track, and all trucks are evaluated prior to each show for safety features.

Discuss with your children the potential risks involved with monster truck shows and explain how Monster Jam trucks have been designed for maximum safety. Plan ahead to bring ear protection such as ear plugs or Snug Kids Ear Muffs because Monster Jam shows can get loud! Also wear clothing and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty as large trucks tend to kick up dust. Consider upgrading your ticket to attend the Pit Party before each show where drivers and their massive trucks can be seen up close!

Fans

Monster Jam participants own their vehicles unlike other motorsport series, where mechanics tend to them for them. Each truck stocked with about one million dollars worth of spare parts stored at Monster Jam’s 100,000-square foot shop in Palmetto, Florida (third largest single occupancy building in state and featuring an expansive chassis shop where each truck is created from scratch)

Thousands of employees work behind-the-scenes at Monster Jam events to ensure driver safety, orchestrate entries into hot pits (where 47 trucks are staged between rounds with two trucks coming and going at all times), and repair any broken vehicles on- and off-track. Feld Entertainment owns 56 trucks for its fleet-run Monster Jam events yearly; with its meticulous logistics planning for these 100+ events per year.

Fans get up close and personal at every event, giving them a unique opportunity to see their favorite drivers up close, take photos and obtain autographs – plus after each show there’s the post-event driver meet and greet which provides an exclusive opportunity to hear competitive insights directly from drivers themselves!

Technology

Monster Jam events have long been known for the sound and smell of engines and gas; now however, new technology is altering this game and even giving fans the chance to participate as part of the action on stage.

Monster Jam trucks require both exceptional driving skills and physical endurance to operate successfully, but also pose considerable risk. Although it often leads to injuries, driving one is an aspiration for many drivers.

Holley’s HydraMat provides fuel efficiency by acting like a diaper inside the tank; continuously drawing fuel out even when the truck is upside down.

Before COVID-19’s pandemic struck, fans used paper scoreboards to score performances – leading to perceptions that competition was unfair. Now, Feld Entertainment has established a system enabling anyone in an arena with access to smartphones to log-in and rate each driver via smartphone, with results displayed on a Jumbotron for all to view.

Monster Jam – Motorsports For Children

Monster Jam is an extremely popular spectator sport among children. The sound of monster trucks’ engines revving like buffalo herds gets everyone in attendance going wild, and every action-packed stunt brings cheers of excitement from spectators.

Trucks compete in bracket style racing, two-wheeled skills challenges, donut competitions, and freestyle events where judges decide the winner by using scores collected during these events.

It’s a family event

Monster Jam events differ from traditional motorsports like racing or motocross in that they are safe for children due to innovations in safety technology and engineering, and also thanks to its drivers. Truck drivers at these events are trained world-class male and female athletes who possess both physical strength and mental stamina needed for such competitions, as well as dexterity required to handle 12,000-pound machines capable of backflips, vertical two-wheel skills, backflips and much more!

As this event is intended for families, most venues allow children two and under to attend without incurring a charge provided they sit on their parent or guardian’s lap. Tickets must be purchased to experience pre-event activities and the Pit Party.

The Pit Party provides fans an opportunity to meet the driver of their Monster Jam truck and gain an intimate view of fan-favorite vehicles. Plus, guests can take photos and hear competition insights directly from drivers in a private event space!

It’s a sport

Monster Jam must keep its audience engaged, which is why it frequently makes changes on and off the track. Recently, they brought in Krysten Anderson as Grave Digger driver – this added dynamic is something other sports don’t deal with and was received positively by fans.

Monster Jam has also taken steps to make its events more accessible for fans by adding mobile scoring and video games into its arena experience. Fans can vote on their favorite truck and driver right from their smartphones, helping dispel misconceptions that Monster Jam events are fixed.

Some fans have also criticized Monster Jam’s company for editing certain trucks and drivers, such as Gunslinger and Metal Mulisha, to remove references to guns. Yet Monster Jam remains one of the world’s most beloved motorsports competitions.

It’s a business

Monster Jam is an enormous business run by Feld Entertainment, who also operate Disney on Ice and Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey Circus. Monster Jam draws more than four million fans to its arena and stadium shows annually and sells merchandise like never before.

Monster Jam drivers and crew have special relationships with fans that set it apart from most professional sports leagues. Brianna Mahon drives Whiplash for Monster Jam; she won Rookie of the Year 2015 after previously competing in Motocross racing and loves her vibrant aqua truck that allows her to express both princess and tomboy sides at events.

Monster Jam’s Pit Party provides fans with an opportunity to interact with players prior to games – much like an outdoor tailgate party with food and games galore as their trucks rest before performing on stage!

It’s a community

Monster Jam brings together fans from all walks of life for an experience they won’t soon forget – live motorsports action! A staple for many families and an entertaining way to spend quality time together or with friends. Fans have the chance to meet their favorite drivers after each performance while collecting autographs!

Monster Jam 2018 boasts a record-setting lineup of larger-than-life trucks and world-class drivers. The winner of the Stadium Championship East tour will gain automatic admission into the 2023 Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas.

Monster Jam events are open to audiences of all ages, with tickets available both at the arena box office and online. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for an unforgettable Pit Party experience where they can take pictures with their favorite trucks while participating in family-friendly activities and purchasing merchandise from the official Monster Jam shop – while safety remains at the core of every Monster Jam event.
