The trap duo has signed with United Talent Agency. How do they retain their identities confidential?
Hot off their Invasion excursion, ATLiens have signed with United Talent Agency – a major step for the bass duo. What does it take to construct a career while maintaining their identities a mystery?
Because you can see from our interview this season in Electric Daisy Carnival at Las Vegas, ATLiens prefer to stay anonymous – to – stage that we can only ask them”yes” or”no” questions. Hanging out with the two practically feels like meeting someone in witness protection. Getting through airport security is easier than getting into their room.
To cap 2018 at the best way possible, ATLiens signed with Jonathan Griffin, a representative in UTA responsible for scheduling functions such as Black Tiger Sex Machine, Infected Mushroom, and Space Jesus. Here’s what their supervisor, Griffin Haddrill, had to say on the signing:
“ATLiens & myself are excited to use UTA. They accomplished great items for their clientele and have set their eye. I am convinced we’ll do the exact same and then a number. We have a fantastic representative, Jonathan Griffin that sees our vision and the bigger picture in drama. It’s always appreciated to observe the other representatives at UTA function as a team and see the long-term expansion for ATLiens. You can’t go wrong when men like Steve Gordon & Kevin Gimble developed a team and roster which has changed the tides for the much better in dance music”
We also sat down with Griffin this week to ask him how he protects their identities.
EDM.com: Why remain anonymous?
Griffin Haddrill: It is truly about the fan and music experience. When you come to an ATLiens show, fans are there to experience the music. ATLiens in their own way have a personality, but the human element isn’t there. It’s about the fans, the music, and ATLiens all coming together to create an atmosphere you don’t get at other shows.
How strict is the incognito component?
It’s a huge priority for us. At every show or public event, we make sure ATLiens identities are hidden, even if it means going through great lengths to remain incognito.
How do you balance being on tour with remaining anonymous?
It’s definitely not easy. I’ve had plenty of phone calls when they are about to miss a flight telling me that TSA won’t let them through security. Luckily, they’ve never missed a flight but in the heat of the moment those calls are always stressful (laughs).
What are special things you list on your rider to help with this?
A bowl of just red M&M’s… kidding. The main thing is just having a conversation with the venue or promoter and talking it through. At the end of the night the whole venue staff feels like it was a team effort to keep ATLiens hidden, so there tends to be a level of camaraderie around it and everyone has a good time.
What are some close calls the team has had?
Ohhh man. I can go on and on, there have been so many close calls. A couple moments that stick out sometimes:
ATLiens will jump into the crowd at some shows and there have been plenty of times when people try and pull the mask off. Hasn’t happened yet, but those moments are always scary.
Another moment was when ATLiens were checking into a hotel and the lady at front desk bought a ticket to see them perform that night. They checked into the hotel and the reservation for the room said “ATLiens.” Luckily, they had a tour manager, photographer, and other friends there so she didn’t know which one was ATLiens but that was definitely a learning moment to never put a reservation under “ATLiens” (laughs).
Here are a few notable moments from their career:
In 2017, ATLiens released a heavy bass collab with Bassnectar, titled “Interlock”, which was a step towards trap music for the dubstep king. They also dropped a track with Jameston Thieves, “Ninth Dimension,” and an album of remixes of their track “Alchemy”.
In 2018, ATLiens have exploded in popularity with a huge tour across North America and Asia punctuated by a stellar show in Bangkok on Halloween. The Invasion tour is over, but fans look forward to the next one. In addition to their collaboration with Tynan, their latest joint effort with Badrapper had one of our personal favorite music videos of the year.
They even had their song”Chief” showcased at the Samsung commercial to the Galaxy S9.
We can’t wait to discover what is next in store to the pair that is unearthly, and we are hoping this UTA signing means festivals and shows!

Diplo along with John Mayer are allegedly focusing on new music together. At first thought it may appear to be an water and oil mix, however, the more one reproduces it in their head. It’s among the world’s leading pop manufacturers and EDM’s designated stepdad paired with one of the most prolific musicians of a generation, that both seem to get a genuine talent for never taking themselves too seriously while controlling their individual crafts.
The “Close To Me” producer revealed the forthcoming cooperation in Diplo style, remarking on the cooperation with a photo posted on Instagram… not only a photo of him and Mayer — but it still gets over the message. There aren’t even on when John Mayer and the Mad Decent head honcho are put to debut their own new audio, or how much of it exists. Between his work with Major Lazer, Silk City, LSD and also the prior Jack Ü, possibly a joint campaign together with Mayer could even turn out to be Diplo’s next super group. Who knows?
The brand new album from HUMAN, IRL, is outside now. The name may sound familiar to lovers of Avicii, since we mentioned back in February that the late Swedish manufacturer co-wrote a song of theirs, “Ghost. ” With the launch of HUMAN’s new album, lovers have a peek at another song Avicii functioned on with HUMAN prior to his departure &hellip.
The two Otto Knows and Avicii functioned on the song “Love Letter” to get HUMAN ahead of the latter’so death, as evidenced by the Instagram video under.
A post shared with Avicii (@tributetotimbergling) on Jul 25, 2018 at 12:30pm PDT
However, likely because of the uncertain condition of this producer’s mansion after his death, the song as it appears on the album conveys no credits to Avicii (nor Otto) and sounds markedly different than the demo played in the video above.
It’s a shame rsquo & we;ll likely never get the first Avicii demo of “Love Letter,” however HUMAN’s debut album is worth the tune. It’s in the pop realm but it’s great pop and significantly electronic-influenced EDM listeners shouldn’t feel too alienated listening to it now. Test out it here.

Back in Lost Lands last week and believed about the significance of regaining correctly following a festival. It’s no secret that many festivals take a toll on the body, both emotionally and mentally. Walking several miles throughout the weekend and Assessing the festival grounds, could be demanding on your body.
After the festival, it’s no time to come back to the actual world and here is a collection of the greatest methods to recover from a festival.
Re-hydrate
All of us know the importance of staying hydrated throughout the festival however it’s always important to stay hydrated prior to and after the festival also. Several days of being under sunlight fully and dance drains your energy and drinking water can help you from becoming dehydrated. I always like to keep a reusable water bottle round, like a Hydro Flask that comes in convenient and helps me to drink water and stay hydrated all day long. You can even drink something with electrolytes and minerals such as Gatorade. Pedialyte is frequently marketed towards kids but all of us understand it’s great to treat hangovers and it also has electrolytes and nutrients.
Participate In Real Food
You didn’t consume much all weekend, except perhaps a few and for pizza and french fries of protein bars. After a festival you need to replenish with a few food. As your body will be craving nourishment, try eating a meal. I love to have some meals so I once I get back in the festival I got a nutritious meal but I love to go to a favourite restaurant and gas up there.
Soothing Shower
The setting following a rave is taking a nice shower that is soothing. This is especially true if you’ve ever. When swimming washing away the dirt once you come home is essential, sometimes people sacrifice their personal hygiene. Baby wipes are popular when camping however, it doesn’t compare to a real shower. Even if you do take the time to shower in the festival in the showers it doesn’t compare to an actual shower. While I get home in the festival a nice shower gets me feel just like a new person.
Grab Some Sleep
The majority of us have full time jobs to be able to pay for all the festivals we must get back to work as soon as possible and we go to. I’ve come back in a festival at which I need to go to work the next day and it’s such a battle. I recommend you taking off a day following the festival recover properly and to grab some sleep. This can help you catch up on the sleep you lost throughout the weekend and assist you getting back to feeling normal again as fast as possible.
Plan Your Next Festival
The post-festival blues. All of us get them. Escaping reality to coming back to the real world and going from a pleasant weekend in a festival can be rough. You overlook the more folks you met, the vibes, the music, and even much more. Planning my next holiday or looking in my calendar and visiting my second upcoming event makes me feel much better. With something to look forward to allow me to make me feel not so gloomy and will be nice.

Skrillex will headline Minneapolis’ Snowta Festival, hit Vancouver, as well as both variants of Decadence until 2018 is out. A Reddit user noted that the worldwide addition to Skrillex’s roster of forthcoming appearances while surfing the manufacturer ’s present tour dates StubHub. Even though the festival date may be only an error, the show date could be an accurate expansion of Skrillex’s tour schedule that surfaced StubHub before an lineup statement from Lollapalooza Argentina organizers.
The LA-based celebrity ’s Snowta and Decadence bookings, audio engineer Randy Urbanski’s perhaps not so subtle hint that fresh Skrillex songs is Published in October, and also recent speculation that Skrillex has been at work on a flip of Travis Scott‘s “Sicko Mode” jointly point to large moves in the works in Skrillex, making the possibility of a Lollapalooza Argentina headline charging even more likely. For the time being, the Recess manufacturer ’s looming return proceeds to generate anticipation, but while the year inches to a close, we’re gambling things in Skrillex’s camp are all only beginning to heat up.
