Sebastian Bach has made his mark in the music industry through both bands and solo efforts, most notably as lead vocalist of heavy metal band Skid Row. His career spans over 30 years, as he still performs as both singer and actor.
Canadian-American musician Sebastian Bach has sold more than 20 million records worldwide both as part of Skid Row and on his own as an artist. As well as performing music, Bach has also appeared in multiple TV shows and Broadway productions, such as Gilmore Girls for five consecutive seasons as a regular player as well as roles in Trailer Park Boys among many others.
Bach began his musical journey at an early age. Starting out singing in Kid Wikkid at 14 was just the start; eventually the band disbanded, and he started performing weddings where he met members from Skid Row, who were so impressed with his performance they invited him to join their band!
After his debut album with Skid Row was released in 1989, Bach released additional albums with them before leaving to form his own solo project and release Bring ‘Em Bach Alive in 1997 – followed by Forever Wild in 2004 and Angel Down in 2007. Additionally, Bach joined Guns N’ Roses on their Chinese Democracy tour after reconciling with them.
With a long career spanning rock music and three solo albums to his credit – What Do I Got to Lose?, which was released this Thursday – Bach has produced many hit songs over his long and fruitful musical career. These collaborations include Orianthi (Alice Cooper, Michael Jackson) and Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge, Slash).
Former Skid Row frontman Skid Row also enjoys an acting career that includes roles on television shows such as Gilmore Girls and Trailer Park Boys. In 2006, he took part in VH1 show SuperGroup alongside musicians Ted Nugent, Scott Ian and Evan Seinfeld.

The History of Monster Jam
Monster Jam may seem staged and scripted today, but its roots lie elsewhere. Monster Jam first emerged during the lifted pickup era of the 1970s when owners started outfitting factory four-wheel drive trucks with monster tires to create competitive displays at car shows.
United States Hot Rod Association soon started sanctioned racing events in arenas and stadiums, while Bigfoot was born after its video showing it crushing cars caught the attention of a promoter.
Feld Entertainment expanded this sport by selling tickets to watch drivers like Dennis Anderson’s Grave Digger compete at indoor stadium blowouts and smaller arena shows. Fans enjoy experiencing these 12,000-pound machines competing against one another for speed, skill and freestyle competitions on an arena show floor; during which drivers perform tricks and stunts over an extensive ground area. A team of eight spends 18-20 hours over three days building tracks specifically for each event.
Two-Wheel Skills Challenge
Though racing and freestyle dominate most events, two-wheel skills competition is also an exciting part of the show. Attendees use smartphone apps to rank drivers performing tricks on two wheels as they perform them; those with the highest average score win.
Drivers also face the unique challenge of high jumping during a stadium event (known as the Great Clips Skills Challenge in arenas). To do this, they must run up an almost vertical ramp using their rear tires to propel themselves upward until reaching level flight.
Weston Anderson will attempt to defend his title driving Grave Digger while Brianna Mahon competes for her inaugural Event Championship behind Scooby Dooa. These two drivers will engage in an epic head-to-head battle of speed and skill as they compete for this fierce event championship race of 12,000-pound trucks equipped with powerful Chevrolet engines producing 1,500 HP and 1,100 Lbs of Torque.
Head-to-Head Racing
Monster Jam began in 1995 as an event featuring racing and two-wheel skills competitions as well as freestyle competition. Freestyle competition gives drivers who didn’t make it into the race the opportunity to display their talents, even if they don’t compete head-on against each other for points. Trucks compete head-to-head against one another for points.
HowStuffWorks took an exclusive behind the scenes tour during a recent Monster Jam event, visiting both pits to observe truck crews as they worked to prepare all 83 trucks that would compete on the track.
Monster Jam’s team builds a custom track for every show, which requires significant work but ensures truck teams will experience a fresh new layout every city the tour visits.
Be aware that although trucks are designed with safety in mind, this sport remains potentially risky. There have been rare instances in which something unintentionally launched from one of the trucks–be it dirt, shrapnel or crushed car debris–has struck spectators unknowingly and caused injury.
Freestyle
Freestyle competitions provide drivers two minutes (one and a half in arena shows) to drive their trucks over ramps, junked cars and other obstacles on an open floor surface. The truck that scores the most points in this category will be declared the winner of the event.
Monster Jam shows prior to its incorporation of freestyle into its head-to-head racing format often employed a method known as “cheer off”, in which audience members counted how often each truck received cheers, with those receiving the most applause earning an edge in competition.

The Time Jumpers were founded in 1998 as a group of Nashville studio musicians who enjoyed jamming together. When country star Vince Gill joined in 2010, they started performing regularly Monday nights at Station Inn before outgrowing that venue and moving to 3rd & Lindsley.

Western Swing
Western Swing quickly flourished during the 1930s from its roots in Frontier fiddle and cowboy culture, merging with turn of the century Ragtime, Plantation Blues, African American music such as boogie-woogie and Dixieland jazz; Nashville country music followed shortly thereafter followed by bee bop, Rockabilly and Rock and Roll were influenced by Western Swing.

Psychedelic music made an impressive comeback to Latin America in 2021 with atmospheric masterpieces by Spain’s Unidad y Armonia, Brazil’s Glue Trip and Mexico’s Daniel Quien – not forgetting sad sierreno sensation DannyLux Singer from Palm Springs who embraced this genre with singles such as “Tristeza y Traicion” and “Dueno De Tu Amor.”
Emerging artist Anthony Gonzalez creates music that embodies both his Mexican and American heritage, with sound that alternates between joyful and heartrending. For instance, on his ‘Love/3’ EP he incorporates both psychedelic intros and traditional corrido chords to craft an emotive experience.

DannyLux draws upon traditional corrido narratives while updating them for modern listeners, producing soulful lyrics rich with storytelling about love and life, combined with his signature laidback requinto guitar playing style and chord choices – as evidenced by Armado in their breakthrough collaboration “Jugaste Y Sufri”.
As he begins a new chapter, this rising star attributes his success to divine timing. He was chosen as an opening act on Coldplay’s extended Mexican tour and now signed with Warner Music Latina.
Desert Hot Springs-born artist Brandon Vereen’s career continues to thrive as he makes his Coachella debut this year, joining artists like 2Deep and Jay Roxxx for a set. This festival that was so important in his childhood now serves as an affirmation.
Corrido Narratives
DannyLux (Danny Luxury), as the son of Mexican-American parents, has been exposed to various musical influences that have informed his musical style and sensibility. Applying these experiences, DannyLux is reinventing corridos with an alternative sierreno sound.
His genre-defying music reflects both his multi-cultural upbringing and vibrant Latin scene. From creating waves on TikTok to working with Eslabon Armado and opening for Coldplay, this musician is on an upward trajectory.
Young singer Abelardo Castro leads an emerging wave of musicians on both sides of the border who are reinventing corridos and sierreno music for an international audience. From using an abandoned guitar his father found at an auction to creating an eclectic album collection featuring everything from breakup songs (Jugaste y Sufri) to his signature psychedelic love songs (DLux), Abelardo has set himself apart as a rising talent redefining corridos and sierreno music with Perdido En Ti, his sophomore full length release that explores all stages of love.
Corrido Inspiration
DannyLux Singer began his musical journey when he was only seven years old in California. It all started when he discovered a second-hand guitar lying around after it had been abandoned by another. Soon thereafter he adopted it for himself and made it his signature sound; having grown up listening to traditional Mexican and classic American rock music, his melodies quickly found their way into our hearts.
TikTok recordings by DannyLux caught the attention of Pedro Tovar, lead singer of regional Mexican band Eslabon Armado. Tovar invited DannyLux to make his debut album with them in 2021 with their song “Jugaste y Sufri,” blending Eslabon Armado’s sierreno style and DannyLux’s soft rock into one song that earned them top billing on Billboard Latin Songwriter chart – even beating out reggaeton superstars Ozuna and Bad Bunny!
DannyLux has made waves within corrido’s new generation with two EPs and an album under his belt, and continues to prove his talent by reaching across cultural borders to reach new audiences of all demographics with his music.
Billy Idol, an iconic British rockstar who moved to New York City during the 1980s and quickly rose to become one of America’s most beloved entertainers with hits like White Wedding, Rebel Yell and Eyes Without A Face.
His music combines punk attitude with rock sonics for an irresistibly catchy combination. He has released multiple albums including his recent offering: The Roadside EP.
He was born in London
Billy Idol is one of the most iconic names in rock music, known for both his music and outrageous persona. His early success with Generation X helped propel him forward as an artist; Idol took this as an opportunity to mock his school instructor by coining “Idol.” Idol took this nickname literally, using it to build up his bad boy image.
After Generation X’s success, Idol moved to New York City and launched his solo career. Soon thereafter he became an anchor on MTV, providing camera-ready music that resonated with teenage audiences. Subsequent albums by Idol or collaborations with guitarist Steve Stevens cemented his place within pop music; both albums (Devil’s Playground in 2005 and Kings & Queens of the Underground in 2014) would cement this status further. Idol also featured prominently in films and TV shows such as Adam Sandler comedy The Wedding Singer (1998.).
Music playing from concert speakers, two Bills emerged. Billy Idol could be identified from his signature sneer which had turned into more of a smile; and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio from their roles as organizers of an effort to stop trucks and buses from idling for long.
William Michael Albert Broad (born Goring, Oxfordshire) had an ordinary upbringing. His father worked as a power tool salesman; while William regularly attended church services and school classes. However, music quickly became his obsession.
As one of MTV’s initial stars in the 1980s punk rock revolution, he rose quickly. His iconic style of bleached hair and snarling attitude gave him an instantly identifiable bad boy persona that resonated with rock fans. His 1993 album Cyberpunk was ahead of its time; its themes and direct-to-computer marketing strategy anticipated internet influence in music culture while its sound resonated with aggression, subtlety, rhythm, and romance.
He is a singer-songwriter

Idol returned to recording with 2005’s Devil’s Playground album which saw his reunion with guitarist Steve Stevens; two years later came Greatest Hits followed by 2014’s Kings & Queens of the Underground album.
After his controversial departure from Immortal, Abbath went on to form his own solo act – his debut self-titled album is sure to draw much notice across metal circles. King ov Hell and Creature join Abbath for this debut effort that’s sure to turn heads in its release.
Vocally, he remains outstanding. His signature froggy screech and image-rich lyrics help set him apart.

Abbath Band have released Outstrider as the follow up to their 2016 self-titled debut and it is a tighter, more well-rounded second album than their 2016 self-titled release. Fans of their riffage, robust pocket, black metal vocals croaked and screeched, as well as traditional metal-esque melodicism will find much to enjoy here while those looking for significant stylistic risks may be disappointed as Outstrider remains true to its riff heavy roots throughout.
Even with lineup changes since their initial debut album, Abbath still feels like a major presence on this recording; his voice carrying the album‘s themes with power and emotion. Ukri Suvilehto’s drumming is equally outstanding, adding urgency and extra hits without diluting their power or groove. Outstrider is an impressive album which will excite any death metal fan; from its opening build-up to an intense blast of death metal excellence on each song. Other highlights include tremolo picked riffs and double guitar harmony on “Hecate”, as well as galloping riffs in “Calm In Ire (Of Hurricane).” All in all, Outstrider is an outstanding release that should satisfy all fans of the genre.
Dread Reaver
Abbath’s demonic imagination runs wild through these songs like blood on steel. The band explodes out of the gates with Acid Haze, an explosive Black Metal extravaganza with scorching riffs provided by Ole and Mia’s bestial bass as well as Ukri’s infernal drumming.
Dread Reaver, the title track of Immortal’s music, is an epic metal anthem with some Motorhead influence in its chorus, yet also featuring Abbath’s classic metal influences that were ever present on Immortal. With such an intoxicating anthem for total metal mayhem.
Absent bassist Tom “King” Visnes’ departure due to differences between his beliefs and Abbath’s image, Dread Reaver cements Abbath as a top metal act. Abbath’s unique mix of blistering Speed Metal, traditional influences, and black metal creates its own sound while its unyielding force makes this album one of metal’s finest recordings.
At The Heart Of Winter
This album features some highly melodic riffs that will capture you with its catchiness and melodicism, while the clean guitars add an atmospheric tone that is commonplace among black metal songs. Overall, the entire record is fast-paced but precise guitar work separates it from amateur acts in its genre.
“Withstand the Fall of Time” perfectly illustrates the high quality of this album. With complex time signatures and a magnificent use of synthesizers, not to mention impressive drumming which gives this track its epic feel.
Immortal’s 1999 masterpiece Pure Holocaust was widely considered its pinnacle, though its release coincided with a period in black metal history when many bands began losing their direction and mystique. Sons of Northern Darkness was another great album from Immortal that year.

Abbath Band from Bergen, Norway was formed following Abbath Doom Occulta (Olve Eikemo’s departure from Immortal guitarist-vocalist Abbath Doom Occulta). Devoted to modernising black metal’s traditional doom signifiers, this group mixes growling, gravel-toned vocals with vital, thrashing tempos and pulverising riffage for an emotional impactful soundscape. From 2015, when Abbath Doom Occulta had left Immortal guitarist-vocalist Abbath Doom Occulta had left this album unreleased since 2015 (Olve Eikemo left), this record marks their debut effort after Eikemo left.

Origins
Copa America dates back to 1916 when South American football clubs gathered together to form its governing body, first known as the South American Championship and later Campeonato Sudamericano de Futebol. Annual editions took place until 1918 was suspended due to flu outbreak; eventually returning in 1975 under its current moniker.
Since that time, the competition has undergone many alterations; most notably moving dates away from European summer tournaments to avoid clashing. Furthermore, CONMEBOL has explored different methods for structuring this tournament by inviting teams outside its 10 member federations memberships to enter and make up part of its structure.
Brazil are the reigning champions of this tournament, winning it six times overall and four times individually. Uruguay are close behind in success having claimed continental trophies on four separate occasions; more recently Chile emerged as an influential team claiming victory at 2015 tournament.
Format
Contrary to some major soccer tournaments, the Copa America comprises both group stage and knockout rounds. Each of its four groups comprises four teams that each face twice; then the top two finishers advance into quarterfinal matches which feature single elimination matches.
Semi-final and final matches that end in a tie after 90 minutes will proceed into extra time and, if still tied, a penalty shootout. This is because many of the tournament participants have club contracts that keep them busy elsewhere around the globe.
Argentina are pre-selected in Pot 1, alongside Mexico, hosts and reigning CONCACAF Nations League winners USA as well as Brazil – with Canada/T&T/Honduras/Costa Rica duelling it out for two spots to complete this group stage. Meanwhile the eight other Pots will be randomly drawn into one of four group stages.
