Nocturnal Wonderland 2018 attracted over 65,000 attendees to some transformed Glen Helen Regional Park.

We danced across a black-lit playground featuring everything you need to get lost into: the audio coming out of four fancy stages, whimsical costumed monsters, tons of luminous art installations including a 3D UV experience, live art, and a full experience in camping alone, paired together with performances out of around 60 artists.

As lovers wandered to set, each stage they stumbled upon was handcrafted to stick to this vibe it blasted.

Wolves’ Den stood 60-feet tall and 141-feet broad, featuring 81 parts of pyro and 8 capsules, fans gathered here for the amplifying noises of Boombox Cartel, Jai Wolf, Deorro, Slushii, Illenium, and much more. Even a 48-foot tall and 84-foot broad Labyrinth stage included eight flame heads, six capsules, also showered us with 36 pounds of confetti over the weekend while we got down to the looks of Bassrush along with NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations team. We raged to strong sets from Liquid Stranger, Space Jesus, Kill the Noise, Flux Pavilion, Said the Sky, and of course, NGHTMRE & SLANDER.

The return of Drift’s lighthouse was the highlight of our weekend, perfectly piled beneath the highest point of Glen Helen Regional Park, it beamed to the hippie in all of us; the black-lit stage included hammocks, and succulent gardens and interactive art pieces while the aerobeacon, once more, shined far through the festival grounds.

We could ’t even envision a better stage for those Sunken Garden vibeswe were so pleased to see it go back to host the looks of Nora En Pure, Lee Foss, Mikey Lion & Lee Reynolds, MK, and much more.

Insomniac’s Boombox Art Car made its method flourishing through the crowds in camp and in the festival behaving as the stage for the camp pre-party on Thursday, we were afterwards able to get it tucked into a neon mushroom spot just over in the 3D Nocturnal Wonderland Experience. Performances from Fester, Oscar da Grouch, Simfonik, and much more had the audience noodling for the rest of the weekend.

Nocturnal Wonderland also observed the return of three nights of RV, car, and tent camping under the night sky. We kicked off the weekend at the pre-party with bangers in Kayoh, Riot Ten, and much more at Moonlight Grove. Camping also featured nighlty Silent Discos with performers such as BIJOU, Morelia and also this season ’s Discovery Project winner. We also appreciated activities such as morning yoga, splashing from the waterpark, along with arts and crafts.

Odesza Drops Highly Anticipated Track “Loyal” [Listen]

The boys are back

After teasing the release of a studio version of”Loyal”, Odesza has delivered.

They premiered back the track in 2015 and since then the duo was made this trap centric banger a staple in their sets.

The trail opens up with their iconic drumline (for those who haven’t seen a live show of this, run into youtube now and witness the greatness which is your USC drumline). As the pressure builds we get dropped to goodness. Hot DAMN.

I love when artists that are melodic take a dip from the dirt pool. At length, Odesza lovers will breathe a sigh of relief knowing they no longer need to wait to find that the duo live before loving this epic trail.

Hardwell Announces Indefinite Break From DJ’ing

Dance music titan Hardwell hangs up his boots from touring and DJ’ing in a surprise announcement earlier today. But he has promised an urge to”return stronger” when he does, and we’ll sure be here waiting Hardwell.

One of the biggest names in dance music today as we know it, decided to go onto an indefinite hiatus from touring and selling out arenas. Dance music titan, and Dutch legend, Hardwell took to social media just a few hours ago to announce to his fans that he was taking a much needed and indefinite break from his live shows but also promised he would”return deeper” when he did.

Explaining his decision and how the relentless and grueling touring schedule took a toll on him, Hardwell went on to say he was exhausted by “being Hardwell 24×7” and how this left him no time to be himself and for his family and friends. Saying,

“Over the last few years I’t come to know myself better and improved and more time I realized that there’s still so much I need to share with my family members and friends, so many roads I’d love to explore, but being Hardwell 24/7 leaves too little energy, love, creativity, and attention for my life as a normal person to do so.”

While this means that his touring schedule officially ended in style and with a bang yesterday, on September 6 in Ibiza, he will still play his All Ages show in the Ziggo Dome during Amsterdam Dance Event on the 18th of October 2018.

We have to applaud Hardwell for taking this drastic step to take time off and focus on not just himself but his near and dear ones as well. We’ve come to know all too well how stressful the industry and the pressure that it carries with it can be when we all lost a gem of an artist to it in Avicii! While similar to the steps Avicii took, Hardwell has promised to continue making music in his time off, so that’s definitely something his fans can celebrate.

Hardwell also went on to end on a positive note saying he wanted to stay connected with his fans by the way of his music and definitely didn’t rule of a return in the future saying,

“My sincerest hope is that we’ll have the ability to carry on this trip together. I would like to return stronger than ever, except for nowI’m only going to be me for a while.”

We wish Hardwell full power and hope he likes his much deserved time off to your fullest! Once he’s ready, Meanwhile, we’ll be right here waiting for him!

Why Lost Lands 2018 Is Not To Be Missed

Bass music fans — the second yearly Lost Lands Festival is significantly much less than 30 days off! This past year, Lost Lands debuted for the first time and immediately became a fan favorite holiday season. One of the chief reasons it had been such a success is because Jeff Abel, better called Excision, along with his staff put a lot of effort to the making of it.

On account of the success of Lost Lands 2017, Excision started to program for 2018 as soon as the 2017 festival had finished. He and his team have worked to ensure fans have a much better experience this year. In his Headbanger Facebook band page that he asked for questions, queries and much more to make Lost Lands 2018 as good as you can. Everything from the lineup to choosing food vendors, Excision paid focus on all fan feedback and has been tremendously involved in every detail.

Lost Lands 2018 will have two full size main stages this season plus 1,000,000 watts of bass brought to you by PK Sound gear. That is A LOT of bass, don’t forget to bring your earplugs! This past year, volcanoes about the stage taken fire in addition to heaps of lasers, pyrotechnics, and even giant dinosaurs produced an appearance. This past season, you can definitely expect production and also three times more dinosaurs.

After the festival is finished there will be Sound Camps which are going to be heading off during the evening. There are just six distinctively themed Sound Camps, special guest appearances, and surprise collections by Lost Lands artists. The Sound Camp includes a dedicated campground region at which you’ll be transported to a new world. Each stage at the Sound Camps will incorporate its very own unique theme design.

Other new changes this season include, expanded car camping areas — 50 sq ft. bigger, ancient entry pre-party inside festival grounds together with surprise b2b places Thursday night, silent camping, themed Sound Camps, along with also the 1,000,000 watts of bass. All of this was made possible because of the fan feedback that has been taken into account.

Lastly, I don’t have to say how stacked this years lineup is with numerous performances by Excision all weekend and other bass artists comprise Flux Pavilion, Illenium, Nero, Rezz, plus much more.

This past year, I saw that the festivities throughout the livestream at Couch Lands, where I saw and headbanged all weekend from my couch at home. This season I am excited to visit Lost Lands and experience it. Are you going? Allow me to know!

Still thinking about it? Act fast, GA tickets along with camping is 75% sold out. You’re able to get the rest of the tickets HERE.

See you Headbangers!
