Billy Joel and Sting Kick Off One-Night-Only Co-Headlining Show

On Saturday night in Tampa, just a few drops of rain fell, yet that didn’t dampen spirits among a sold-out crowd at Raymond James Stadium.

Sting opened his set by performing The Police’s 1981 hit, “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” Joel joined later for their 1986 collaboration on their song “Big Man on Mulberry Street”. Check out below for photos and video footage!

What to Expect

Billy Joel hit it out of the park when he sang his opening set and declared: “It’s a pretty good crowd for a Saturday.” Despite a light drizzle lingering outside Raymond James Stadium, there was no dampening effect as Piano Man and Sting kicked off their series of co-headlining shows with sold-out audiences at this inaugural performance.

Experienced performers, the duo performed both duets and solo sets during this show. Boasting multiple Grammy awards, Las Vegas residencies and charitable initiatives between them, both artists understand the weight of their legacies as well as expectations and demands placed upon them.

Sting’s 16-song opening set was expertly orchestrated. Drawing upon both his solo work and The Police classics, including one performance of “Englishman in New York”, both artists showed exceptional form throughout.

Opening Numbers

Sting took to the stage first, singing several songs before Joel joined him to perform together for the remainder of the evening – both artists featuring on each other’s hits throughout.

“Glass Houses,” performed by The Piano Man in 1978, showcases an Afro-Cuban rhythm with maracas and castanets for added percussion chugging beneath. It pokes fun at an industry that was just as bent on forcing trends back then as today.

Sting’s set was full of timeless classics that felt fresh and vital for audiences that have followed him since the ’80s, delighting listeners with performances of timeless rock tunes such as Roxanne,”Englishman In New York”,and Fields Of Gold”.

Duets

Sting and The Piano Man collaborated on several duets that delighted their sold-out audience at Raymond James Stadium. First, Sting joined Joel for an exhilarating rendition of “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”. Sting’s voice fit seamlessly into this track that provided a snapshot of world events since 1949.

After each performed solo sets, Billy and Sting joined forces for an exciting rendition of his 1986 hit, “Big Man on Mulberry Street.” Sting donned a fedora to complete his look.

Later that night, Sting returned with Joel to perform “Englishman in New York.” Their performance blended influences from reggae and jazz for an emotive rendition that highlighted immigrant struggles. Yet it managed to remain hopeful; giving audience members pride in their city and its immigrant community.

Standout Performances

Joel made history at Madison Square Garden when he performed for 100th time; special guests including Sting and Jerry Seinfeld made special appearances. It can currently be streamed via Paramount+.

Sting and Joel were particularly impressive as a duet on “Secret World” by The Police, as well as performing a folk-tinged, upbeat version of Sting’s own “Solsbury Hill.” Gabriel’s strident, predatory “Games Without Frontiers,” with push-pull harmonies matching its rhythmic backbone perfectly; finally closing with Technicolor horn explosion “Sledgehammer”, was pure exuberance.

Joel unveiled an innovative music video, “Turn the Lights Back On,” using AI technology to transform himself back into his former selves from past decades while sitting at the piano. Reviving his 1970s self with brown suit and bushy hair before changing back into current-day Joel wearing leather jacket and coiffed look was an appropriate way to commemorate and acknowledge a milestone anniversary and the longevity of his career.

Monster Jam is 100 Percent for the Kids

Monster Jam brings world-renowned drivers and 12,000-pound trucks from arenas and stadiums across the nation for exciting racing and freestyle competitions.

Each event includes a timed race, two-wheel skills challenge, donut competition and freestyle event; audiences decide the winners by scoring using mobile devices.

The History of Monster Jam

Monster Jam has since grown into an annual spectacle seen by millions worldwide, but it didn’t start this way. Monster Jam originated during the lifted truck craze of the 1970s when owners modified factory four-wheel-drive pickup trucks by raising them up on lifts and installing massive 48″ farm tires to mud bogging and tractor pulling competitions.

Freestyle competition provides drivers with 2 minutes to show their strength and dexterity by performing gravity-defying stunts that show off both physical and mental prowess. Fans love this controlled chaos that allows fiberglass bodies to fall, axles to break, and sometimes cars even catch fire!

Monster Jam fans were also once able to witness Monster Jam drivers compete in a points series; this feature was discontinued in 1999 before later making a comeback (though not currently part of any USHRA tour). Each Monster Jam event still hosts its own official World Finals championship event.

The Trucks

Monster Jam events and their trucks may look staged, but monster truck racing actually dates back to when lifted pickup owners would jack up factory four-wheel-drive trucks and fill them with giant tires – before Monster Jam even existed!

At each event, trucks compete in three separate events: head-to-head racing, freestyle and skills challenge – each winner receiving their own trophy for their victory.

Freestyle competition is judged annually, and drivers use their trucks to perform tricks for audiences and earn points. Each year the tour crowns a champion for freestyle–not necessarily Grave Digger or Bigfoot but other drivers like 2023 World Finals Champion Tristan England have their own rides that they use during freestyle performances.

Monster Jam’s success can be credited to its hundreds of employees who work together seamlessly to keep it running, from choreographing drivers’ entry into the hot pits (where 47 trucks are staged between rounds with two entering and leaving at all times) and maintaining trackside repairs to making sure fans enjoy themselves and remain engaged – its passionate fan culture fueling its rapid expansion.

The Arena

Monster Jam events feature an arena-style setup that gives fans a close-up view of the trucks and drivers competing. This format has played an instrumental role in Monster Jam’s incredible growth – now offering over 350 shows annually in 30 countries!

Last week, the traveling crew responsible for turning the Dome into a monster truck arena arrived to start its work. They blocked off a section of parking lot between Dineen Hall and Campus West before setting up five of the company’s nine monster truck haulers capable of accommodating two trucks each.

Track construction begins one week prior to fans filling the Dome for fans to watch the action. Excavations takes place from an open field on Syracuse University’s campus and dirt is brought directly into the arena via truckloads; quality monitoring of each load of dirt ensures optimal conditions.

The Audience

Children form a large portion of Monster Jam audiences – no coincidence there. Monster Jam caters solely to children, and that shows. With ATV obstacle races, two-wheel skills competitions, donuts and their signature freestyle monster truck show event all taking place within its pages, kids will love this show!

Trucks roar into life and roll across the arena floor as their fans cheer with enthusiasm. Some have come prepared with earplugs or headphones for hearing protection; most seem delighted to be witnessing such destructive machinery up close and personal.

Monster Jam stands out from other sports events by appealing to an inclusive audience. While camo clothing and American flags might dominate attendance at Monster Jam events, there are numerous female spectators present and pro drivers take upon themselves the responsibility of creating an inclusive environment – Tom Meents of El Toro Loco fame and an early candidate for Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), runs Monster University as training program that fosters new drivers.

The Many Functions of Music

Music is one of the more perplexing human behaviors, difficult to explain from an evolutionary viewpoint due to its ubiquitous and ancient existence. Yet there can be identifiable functions for which music could serve.

These include the exhilarating effect of listening to catchy melodies with meaningful lyrics that bring people together. Music can inspire national anthems or work songs and bring communities closer.

It is a form of communication

Music is an effective form of communication, helping us share emotions and intentions even though their spoken languages may not be mutually intelligible. Music can help infants communicate, connect with people in various social contexts, express complex emotions or narratives and even help us remember information more easily.

The elements of music can generally be described as pitch (melody, harmony and rhythm), tone/timbre (timbre of sound waves), sound intensity and musical form. Some educational institutions use more comprehensive lists that include expressiveness of music through manipulations like tempo fluctuations, accent changes, tremolo effects or slide techniques) and musical texture as key factors.

Musical expression may involve mimicry, the process of reproducing sounds made by other organisms such as birds or insects, while composers such as John Cage and Witold Lutoslawski often create pieces based on chance alone. Beyond these basic components, various forms of music often utilize additional components such as vibrato, resonant notes and visual cues such as space or lighting effects to convey emotion through sound and music.

It is a form of entertainment

Music listening is an enjoyable activity enjoyed by people of many cultures, whether alone or with others, that can involve singing along or dancing to it. Listening to music can also be used as a social outlet and some even use it to exercise! Different kinds of music each have their own effects on listeners – some can make you move while others can soothe your nerves.

At one time, certain forms of music were considered high culture. These genres included Baroque, Classical, and Romantic-era symphonies, concertos and solo works from these eras – typically performed in concert halls or churches – while jazz and blues music could often be heard being played at bars and nightclubs.

Musical expression can be added to a piece of music through techniques such as phrasing, vibrato (whether applied with voice or instruments), dynamic shifts, tempo fluctuations (ritardando and accelerando) and tempo fluctuations (ritardando and accelerando). By manipulating pitch, tone, volume duration and timbre they are also capable of creating unique melodies with distinct rhythmic patterns that create harmony or melody. They also employ rhythm as a tool for harmony or melody creation – either conjunctly or disjunctly, which requires melodies sharing similar rhythm and contour while disjunct requires melodies being independent from one another. Musicians utilize pitch, tone volume duration timbre manipulation to produce expressive sounds which produce expressive sounds with expressive sounds created through various musical instruments and voices used together with rhythm to create harmony or melody or harmony within songs or tunes created using musical instruments and voices – producing expressive sounds from musical instruments and voices combined together creating soundscapes from this artful craft!

Music can be an extremely effective form of healing for both body and soul. Genres such as meditation music provide a soothing backdrop for self-reflection while simultaneously soothing negative emotions such as anger, fear, or anxiety. Meditation music specializes in slow rhythms with gentle tones designed to promote inner peace and tranquility.

Music can provide hope and resilience during challenging times. Songs that celebrate triumph over obstacles remind us that suffering is part of life; healing always remains possible. Music also enhances mood while simultaneously relieving chronic pain by distracting the mind from pain perceptions.

Music can also help foster community. Studies have demonstrated the positive correlation between social connection and mental health outcomes and musical experiences bringing people together across age groups and cultures – something which is especially crucial when dealing with depression or anxiety disorders.

How to Prepare for a Concert

Attending concerts can be an excellent way to socialize in an unhurried setting while supporting local artists.

Listening to music has been shown to improve mood and reduce stress, while attending live performances directly benefits musicians in fulfilling their artistic ambitions.

1. Get Your Tickets Early

Concerts can bring people of various cultures and backgrounds together through listening to music in an crowded venue. A concert can create an amazing sense of togetherness for everyone involved.

Buy tickets early to ensure that you can attend the show, bringing a ticket, ID and money with you as well as any food or beverages for later on in the evening.

Coordinate with your friends to select a meeting point and time that works for both of you. Carpooling can help reduce parking fees and gas costs significantly.

2. Bring a Friend

Concerts offer a chance for communities around the globe to come together and experience music first-hand – something radio cannot provide. Concerts enable friends and strangers alike to create lasting memories through shared love of an artist.

Experiences can be even more enjoyable with someone to share them with; going alone could prove dangerous in certain instances. And singing along at concerts with fellow fans makes for more fun memories! Just make sure that your singing and enthusiasm don’t become disruptive for other attendees; remain respectful; no need to shouting your lyrics out and ruining everyone’s fun!

3. Check the Weather

Never allow bad weather to thwart your concert experience! Be sure to check the forecast ahead of time, and have a plan in case of bad conditions.

Checking banned items lists and weather forecasts at venues is key to planning events, while having an action plan ready should weather trigger an event; and different levels of response for light drizzle versus torrential downpour should also be set forth.

4. Prepare a Budget

Planning a concert requires creating a budget. Doing so will ensure its success and profitability as well as document all expenses properly.

Budgeting requires careful thought and consideration. You will need to establish who your audience members are as well as which venue options would best meet their needs.

Reckoning with revenue streams such as ticket sales and merchandise sales will enable you to balance your budget more accurately and make better-informed decisions.

5. Have an Early Night

No matter if it is general admission or reserved seating, rest is still of utmost importance when attending concerts and music events. Doing so will enable you to stay awake through all aspects of the show while experiencing every bit of music available to you.

Be sure to bring along a fully charged phone, as charging options at concerts can often be limited and there may not be plugs nearby.

If you need to use your phone during a performance, do it during intermission; otherwise you may be asked to leave until there is an appropriate break in the program.

6. Stay Hydrated

Drinking water at concerts is the easiest and cheapest way to stay hydrated; most people already drink it regularly anyway!

If you’re going to a festival, remember to bring along either your own water bottle or hydration pack (depending on venue rules). Your body will lose fluid through sweat and alcohol consumption and it is vital that you have a way of replenishing itself through fluid replacement.

Festivals can be long days and it can be easy to become dehydrated in the heat. To prevent getting separated in the crowds, plan a meet-up spot ahead of time so your group won’t get separated.

7. Be Present

Music concerts provide the ideal environment to express yourself freely among like-minded music enthusiasts, creating a truly unique experience that you may never again find elsewhere in life. Friendships may form or even long lasting connections can be made at concerts.

Being present means being focused only on what’s right in front of you – rather than dwelling on past events or worrying about future ones.

How to Become a UFC Fighter

UFC (Unified Fighting Championship) is a highly physical championship involving strikes and punches, so it may not be suitable for everyone. Becoming a great fighter requires hard work and regular training sessions in order to become one of its fighters.

Becoming an effective mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter requires more than having strong and undefeated fighting techniques; you also require explosive power that can unlock your grappling techniques.

Getting started

UFC is the premier mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion worldwide and showcases some of the greatest fighters across multiple weight classes. To be considered for UFC as an athlete, one must possess skills in multiple martial arts disciplines as well as build up an impeccable record – finding an appropriate gym and coach is essential in becoming a UFC fighter.

Alongside training hard, networking with promoters and fellow fighters is another effective way to get noticed by the UFC. Attending local fights and creating an active social media presence are also keys to becoming visible to them.

Ariel Helwani, known for hosting the popular MMA Fighting show The MMA Hour twice weekly on Spike TV and as one of the leading sources for news and analysis on all things related to mixed martial arts (MMA). Multiple times awarded MMA Journalist of the Year awards have validated him as a key source.

Training

Before an UFC fighter can make it to the top, he or she must possess excellent fighting skills and an effective physical game. They must also possess enough mental toughness to withstand defeat without losing composure; training hard should include exercises targeting both upper and lower bodies, such as pairing pull-ups with hamstring curls or tricep extensions to increase strength and power.

An effective fighter should practice drills and sparring techniques to develop his striking and kicking techniques, as well as incorporate plyometrics training to develop explosiveness for untethering grappling skills and knocking out opponents. Furthermore, local league fights provide ample exposure and experience which increases their chances of signing with UFC.

Preparing for your first fight

Once your coach is ready to sign you up for your first fight, take some time before signing on without giving much thought to what might lie ahead. New fighters should generally wait 4-12 months before making a commitment for their first bout.

As part of your preparation, it’s essential that you adopt a positive outlook in the weeks, days and hours leading up to a fight. While fighting may be stressful at times, being confident in your training and preparation should allow for success.

Once you have developed an effective fighting style, it is time to put it to use and compete in competitions. Doing so will gain exposure and garner the interest of UFC scouts; amateur MMA circuits or networking are great places to do this.

Negotiating a contract

Fighters negotiate various contract terms beyond basic pay. These may include weight classes they are contracted in for, win bonuses and a share of PPV revenues. Attractive fighters or those fighting high-profile matches can often negotiate an increased bonus share.

Fighters can also negotiate the length of their contracts. Blair’s analysis showed that many UFC fighters experience contract renegotiations every year. This may be because they renew early, have remaining fights on current contracts or are set for their final bout under an old one.

Ngannou acknowledged that his contract negotiations became bogged down when he requested several specific stipulations that were the source of friction. Unlike in other sports, MMA fighters don’t enjoy protection through a professional association like other athletes do.

Fighting

UFC fights are full-contact fights between top international fighters in an enclosed octagon. Fights typically last five rounds and can end in either an impressive technical knockout or lethal submission finish, drawing many celebrities as well as criticism from politicians due to its extreme brutality and ruthlessness. The sport has grown increasingly popular and attracted numerous celebrities while garnering criticism from politicians due to the brutality and violence displayed.

An individual wishing to enter UFC competition must possess skills from various martial arts backgrounds in order to compete successfully; due to its range of competition styles and divisions, being adept in several styles is vital in becoming an excellent fighter in this sport.

The Road to UFC series consists of multiple seasons each year, featuring numerous episodes featuring fighters competing for UFC contracts in a win-and-advance format.

Matt Rife began performing comedy at 15 and has been steadily climbing ever since. He has performed on Wild ‘N Out, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Fresh Off the Boat as well as producing self-produced specials of his own.

Drew Afualo, a TikTok star and social media influencer, swiftly responded to Rife’s joke by sharing a video she uploaded onto TikTok showing that white, heterosexual comedians frequently employ misogynistic comedy in order to alienate women. Hayden Moncada of Buckeye Standup Comedy Club agrees with Mizejewski; Hayden Moncada believes Rife’s jokes can be inappropriately hurtful while some have accused him of racism (though Rife has strongly denied these allegations). The Rise of Norah Jones

Norah Jones has realized her dreams. When most 20-somethings pursue music careers, their hopes include success and fulfillment – two goals which Norah Jones has attained.

She has performed with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl; appeared in director Kar Wai Wong’s film My Blueberry Nights; and recorded an album called Foreverly together with Green Day punk rocker Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.

Biographical Information

Norah Jones emerged onto the music scene at age 23 with her debut album, Come Away With Me. A gentle blend of jazz, folk and pop, Come Away With Me was a top seller and won multiple Grammy awards including album of the year for its ballad “Don’t Know Why”.

Norah Shankar grew up in Dallas suburbia singing in church choirs and taking piano lessons before eventually attending Interlochen Arts Camp and Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts where she won Down Beat’s Best Student Vocalist award twice (1996) and 1997 respectively.

As her solo career expanded, so too did her appearances on Dancing with the Stars and The Late Show with David Letterman. Her album, The Fall (2009) – which addressed her recent breakup – expanded her musical palette by including moody electric instrumentation that hinted of rock and soul music; Day Breaks (2016) and Pick Me Up Off the Floor (2022) brought back her trademark sound of softly-sung piano-driven jazz.

Albums

Norah Jones first came into prominence with her 2002 release Come Away With Me, her self-described “moody little record”, which captured audiences around the globe and garnered nine GRAMMY wins.

After taking a short hiatus from jazz-influenced releases, Jones returned with Visions in 2013. It marked her return to jazz-influenced sounds while still drawing influence from country, pop, and rock music genres.

The album closes with an appropriately named track ‘That’s Life,’ an appropriate end for an album which documents an exciting and eventful time in Jones’ life. Lyrically speaking, its lyrics reflect on both its ups and downs but also celebrate all those small joyous moments which comprise life itself.

Norah released a live album entitled ‘Til We Meet Again,’ recorded at eight venues around the world and featuring duos and quartets in 2022. This recording showcases Norah’s exquisite musicianship as well as her intimate connection with audiences across all 8 venues; additionally it contains a heartfelt cover of Chris Cornell’s ‘Black Hole Sun’ recorded shortly after his passing.

Tours

Norah Jones has become known for her soft yet seductive voice, gentle vibes and love of all things old-school – these have long been her trademarks as an artist. However, just like any musician must make changes from time to time in order to remain fresh, Norah Jones makes one on her ninth studio album Visions.

Visions is 2020’s most celebratory collection yet. The 12-track set explores spring’s return, life’s rewards and seeing light at the end of tunnel.

On The Blue Note album, nine-time Grammy winner Sarah Brightman collaborates with producer/multi-instrumentalist Leon Michels (El Michels Affair, Lee Fields & The Expressions), along with many talented musicians – the title itself speaks volumes! Her signature piano sound effortlessly merges country, indie-pop, rock and jazz genres for an extraordinary listening experience.

Collaborations

Norah has collaborated with several musicians over time. Most notably in 2020 she joined forces with Leon Michels (of Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings fame) to release Visions; an album of funky yet gently psychedelic garage soul featuring Jones’ sultry vocals set against fuzz guitars, off-kilter drums, and vintage keyboards.

Jones performed alongside her half-sister Anoushka Shankar’s Traces of You album. Additionally, Jones has appeared in numerous soundtracks such as Foo Fighters’ In Your Honor (2005) and Ryan Adams & the Cardinals’ Jacksonville City Nights (2006).

Norah Jones made her film debut alongside Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz in Kar Wai Wong’s Blueberry Nights in 2007. Since then she has hosted an audio podcast entitled Norah Jones is Playing Along in which she engages with various guests for candid discussions and musical collaborations; episodes collected into collections like Begin Again were recently released as collections.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an iconic concert venue and must-visit for music fans of all kinds, hosting everything from classical symphonies to the Allman Brothers Band and beyond.

At 6,450 feet above sea level, this spectacular geological formation offers an unforgettable backdrop for musical performances. Ship and Creation Rock provide two monoliths which assist with sound transference.

History

Red Rocks’ formation millions of years ago has drawn dinosaurs, ancient tribes, settlers and music fans from all around the globe ever since its discovery. Be it its jaw-dropping geological formations, iconic Amphitheatre or mind-boggling music: everything comes together perfectly at this iconic venue to make for an unforgettable concert experience.

John Brisben Walker began hosting musical performances on a temporary platform during the early 1900s. By 1936, however, Denver Parks director Lon McIvor enlisted help from both Civilian Conservation Corps and Work Projects Administration to turn it into an outdoor theater – with architect Burnham Hoyt providing final designs.

Over the years, Red Rocks has experienced numerous incidents that threatened its business operations. From beer-soaked crowds at Peter, Paul and Mary shows to Aretha Franklin fans storming the stage (and damaging piano), enough incidents occurred that merited a five-year ban on rock groups performing there.

Seating

Amphitheatres are typically composed of multiple sections with various numbers of rows and seats in each section. On a clear night, an amphitheatre can accommodate 9,000 music fans who enjoy its breathtaking performances; millions of stars can even be seen above on such nights!

Its natural beauty draws both residents and tourists from Colorado alike to this National Historic Landmark venue, hosting concerts, movies, hiking, biking and other activities.

Visits to RR Park are not complete without taking the tour of its acoustically impeccable, naturally beautiful marvel of ochre sandstone – especially notable is the Tunnel where artists who have performed at RR sign their names!

Food

Red Rocks Amphitheatre provides an impressive variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages at its concession stands, or you may bring food in soft-sided coolers, backpacks, empty reusable water bottles and seat cushions.

Visitors are permitted to tailgate in the parking lots before shows, with Launch or Vice Kitchen offering sandwiches and shareables that you can take along to enjoy during the show.

Amphitheater officials recently upgraded its concession offerings with local restauranteurs like Denver hot dog icon Biker Jim’s and barbecue joint Rolling Smoke BBQ now serving food at the venue, along with Wyly’s serving classics such as corn dogs and funnel cakes.

Sunblock and water will also come in handy; dancing all night requires staying hydrated!

Parking

The venue provides five parking options, each offering different advantages and disadvantages. Upper North and South lots provide the closest walking distances from parking to seating but often fill up quickly. Lower South offers slightly longer entrance times but allows for faster post-show exiting by bypassing stairs.

Parking at Red Rocks is included with your ticket price and should open two hours before show start times, making early arrival essential if you wish to secure a prime viewing position and enjoy the scenery before the concert begins.

Be sure to wear comfortable footwear if parking in one of the lower lots, and remember that tailgating and glass are still prohibited.

Safety

Red Rocks concerts offer more than just musical entertainment; they are truly epic adventures that bring together nature and music in beautiful harmony. Each performance or spontaneous dance party adds another layer of magic to this geological masterpiece.

As part of your visit to any venue, ensuring your personal safety is an integral component. Be wary of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to staff members or security guards at once.

Security at this venue includes bag inspection at all gate entrances, rock climbing being forbidden and food must be packaged in clear plastic bags – these measures help ensure guests can fully enjoy the show without concern over safety issues. Before entering an arena for Monster Jam, lay aside any preconceived notions you have of it. While it does cater to an audience that could be described as redneck-esque, this event offers much more than simply racing trucks around a track.

This show offers truck, speedster and group ATV races as well as freestyle events that give drivers a chance to show their stuff.

Racing

Monster Jam may conjure images of modified vehicles with large tires racing through crowds of spectators and smashing through cars – but there is more to this high-octane motorsport than meets the eye.

Monster Jam University drivers receive extensive training, becoming intimately acquainted with their trucks over time. While there have been isolated incidents where pieces have fallen onto spectators during freestyle performances, none has caused serious injury to spectators or drivers alike.

Feld Motor Sports of Palmetto, Florida owns and operates 38 trucks that tour on the Monster Jam circuit, along with a 100,000 square-foot shop where maintenance and repairs take place.

Monster Jam is an event suitable for the whole family; kids are encouraged to come cheer for their favorite drivers like Brianna Mahon of Whiplash (a Western-themed truck) after the show has finished. Additionally, many drivers such as Brianna are happy to sign autographs or pose for photos post-show.

Two-Wheel Skills Challenge

At Two-Wheel Skills Challenge (or Great Clips Skills Challenge, in stadium shows as of late 2019), drivers use either their front or rear tires to perform stunts that captivate an audience and impress judges. This event follows racing competition and precedes freestyle competition.

Monster truck drivers are trained athletes equipped with both physical strength and mental stamina needed to operate 12,000-pound machines that perform backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and race at speeds reaching 70 miles per hour. Their dexterity and precise movements make a Monster Jam show truly remarkable and extraordinary.

Monster Jam World Finals marks the climax of each season and features drivers competing for world championships in both racing and freestyle disciplines. This was its inaugural World Finals under its new rotating host location schedule; Jimmy Creten won racing Bounty Hunter over Bari Musawwir in Fire Zombie while Tom Meents claimed both Great Clips Two-Wheel Skills Challenge honors as well as freestyle maximum Destruction honors respectively.

Donut Competition

Donut Competition is an event available only at Arena Series events and not Monster Jam World Finals events. Here, drivers spin their truck in one spot while trying to score as many points by touching the ground with their tires – the truck with the highest scoring tires is declared the winner of this competition.

The Donut Competition gives fans an exceptional opportunity to witness their favorite drivers up close, while giving an insight into just how 12,000-pound trucks perform incredible tricks. Plus, meet and get autographs from your favorites before the show; bring a camera or phone along so you can capture every moment! Additionally, don’t forget the Pit Party before each show where all of the action and activities unfold live before being joined by some of your favorite Monster Jam drivers and crew members for autograph signings or photo ops!

Freestyle

Freestyle competition is where trucks that don’t compete in racing or donuts can show their skills to wow the audience. Fans love witnessing trucks jump over each other, get big airtime and perform incredible tricks – all hallmarks of excellence for any show.

At the encore, all the trucks would return out and perform for their fans – marking a historic first at World Finals! Additionally, Rosalee Ramer made her first appearance with two monster trucks created by herself: Wild Flower and Time Flys.

This event took place on March 6, 2006. John Seasock in Batman won racing over Jimmy Creten in Bounty Hunter while Dennis Anderson in Grave Digger and Tom Meents from Maximum Destruction won freestyle competition. It was the inaugural World Finals where judges could add half a point to their scores; additionally it marked the first time other trucks than Grave Digger and Taz were represented at these World Finals.
