Billy Joel & Sting Kick Off One-Night Only Slate of Co-Headlining Shows

On Saturday night in Tampa, two musical legends – Billy Joel and Sting – kicked off an exclusive co-headlining series. Both sets saw Joel and Sting appear during each other’s songs during both sets.

As soon as the vibrant crowd at Raymond James Stadium began singing along to “Every Breath You Take,” something truly extraordinary took place.

Piano Man

Joel sought to deliver more representative works for his audience on Piano Man and was successful in doing just that with this second release.

Piano Man features Joel’s distinctive sound – both intimate and theatrical on tunes like “You’re My Home,” as well as “Captain Jack.”

Big Man on Mulberry Street

Billy Joel will conclude his Madison Square Garden residency this year with several special guests scheduled to make appearances, such as Stevie Nicks in Arlington and Chicago and Rod Stewart co-headlining on two dates in May and later co-headlining as headliners on two other shows.

Joel invited Sting onstage during his Tampa show last month, performing The Bridge track “Big Man on Mulberry Street” and The Police classic “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” Their performance will air tonight as part of CBS’ two-hour special The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Petco Park on Saturday witnessed an enthusiastic rendition of this timeless tale as its audience sang along to every word at Petco.

After being inspired by a widely reported Rolling Stone piece, Linda’s family filed suit against Disney, successfully receiving co-writing credit on “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and an equal share of its revenue streams in return.

Sting kept the energy alive with his own set, opening with The Police’s “Message in a Bottle” before joining Joel for an encore performance of “Big Man on Mulberry Street”. It proved an unforgettable end to an extraordinary evening show.

Message in a Bottle

Dropping a message in a bottle can bring back so many stories, from trusting fate with its destination to finding solace through shared experience. In London’s Sadler’s Wells Theatre’s Great Performances production from 2016/17 season, these themes were explored using dance-theater techniques.

Sting has an incredible tenor voice and Joel’s piano playing was impeccable during their joint set. They even dueted together on “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”. Joel is currently performing stadium dates with Stevie Nicks as co-headliner, as well as two additional co-headlining shows this summer.

So Lonely

This track features an effective blend of instrumentals and vocals, which should make it stand out among its competition. Furthermore, its seductive dancefloor-friendly vibe adds another level of quality.

Billy Joel has an exciting lineup this year, including stadium dates with Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart as well as his 150th show at Madison Square Garden. Additionally, he recently shared his ideal roster for a supergroup with Howard Stern; watch their interview below.

Walk on the Moon

Neil Armstrong made history when he set foot on the moon’s surface with his famous phrase “That is one small step for man, one giant leap for humanity.” It marked a monumental event.

But, what has it felt like to step on another planet?

Billy Joel recently told Howard Stern during an interview that he is considering creating his own supergroup. He mentioned Paul McCartney as an ideal partner while Ringo Starr would make for an ideal drummer – as well as Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page being possibilities.

New York State of Mind

Joel recently marked the 100th show of his Madison Square Garden residency by altering one of the verses of New York State of Mind to include a nod to The Post newspaper, something he has been doing throughout his concerts for some time now. Howard Stern asked Joel whether or not he had considered selling his publishing rights for nine-figure payout like Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham had done.

Howard also asked Howard for insight on a possible supergroup featuring Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney that might form.

The Stranger

Joel had released scene-specific albums like 52nd Street, punk-influenced Glass Houses and serious The Nylon Curtain but his most straightforward work was The Stranger, where all his influences could be found without fuss – no gimmicks, no themes; just music.

Sting’s vocal performance gave his songs new life and brought out their freshness, matching Joel’s intensity as he embarked upon his 16-song opening set and providing memorable melodies from The Stranger album.

How to Create Emotions in Music

Music can be an incredible means of expressing our emotions. It can help us overcome fears or recall information such as names and dates. Additionally, it may encourage us to study harder for tests.

Numerous studies have explored different functions for music without making explicit evolutionary claims, often by employing factor analysis or clustering techniques to reveal possible basic dimensions of musical function.

Scales

Musicians study scales to develop proficiency and gain a greater understanding of how notes blend. Scales serve as the cornerstone to understanding key signatures, melody and harmony.

An interval is what distinguishes one scale from another; for example, blues scales have an upbeat sound while whole tone scales create dreamier music.

Scales may seem tedious to students of music, yet they are an indispensable element of musical education. The best way to approach learning scales is playing them slowly at a comfortable yet challenging tempo that meets your personal requirements – this allows you to quickly orient yourself amongst the notes without looking down at your fingers and practice articulation and dynamics for greater creativity when using scales creatively in practice and music!

Key signatures

Music can be an intricate art form, yet key signatures help make the experience simpler for musicians. They help establish the tonality of a piece and identify any sharps or flats used throughout its score, helping musicians interpret a piece quickly and accurately.

To identify the key of a song, simply look for the last sharp in its key signature (or name of key if there are flats), as it will be one-half step higher than any previous note. Or use mnemonics such as “Father Charles Goes Down and Ends Battle” to remember their order. Practicing recognizing key signatures will increase speed and accuracy before using Skoove for real-time feedback on your performance.

Melodies

Melodies are essential components of music that resonate with audiences; whether that means soulful vocal passages or thrilling guitar riffs.

Melodies can be defined by any series of notes that can be easily repeated and distinct from surrounding chords and other melodies in a song, making them easy to identify as melodies. Melodies may either be polyphonic (where multiple voices sing simultaneously), or homophonic, where there is one dominant melody accompanied by accompaniment.

The best melodies are those that “go somewhere” and tell a tale, such as ascending and descending contours that convey emotions such as joy or sadness. Such melodies tend to be highly identifiable, often being distinguished from one another by even subtlety in timbre or tone color differences.

Harmonies

Harmonies are an integral component of songs, providing depth and emotion by adding extra notes to a melody or chord block – designed not to compete with but rather enhance the main melodic line of each track.

Intervals between chords can create different emotions and tension. Harmonies allow musicians to express themselves musically; certain harmonies may make you feel anxious or worried, while others can be soothing or inspiring.

Chord progressions form the building blocks of songs. They can be performed by one instrument or a group, and arranged in various ways – four part harmony is often used to add an orchestral feel and should usually involve soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices harmonising together to produce four part harmony arrangements.

Chords

Chords form the cornerstone of much music, encompassing many instruments ranging from guitars and pianos to DAWs. A chord is any combination of two or more notes played together at once, and can create various emotions with just two or more notes being played at once.

One common chord is a major chord, composed of the first, third and fifth notes from any given scale. Minor chords consist of flattened thirds and fifths from any given scale. There are also augmented chords made up of major triads plus added sixth notes as well as diminished chords containing only roots and seventh notes of any given scale.

Chord progressions can have a powerful effect on our emotional responses to songs. One study demonstrated this when listening to simple, repetitive chord progressions caused arousal in areas of the brain associated with emotion processing and reward processing.

The Benefits of tickets” target=”_blank”>Concerts

Concerts provide an ideal way to gather with friends and share in your love of music. Concerts can take place anywhere from restaurants, lounges, and parks to even your living room!

Tickets, transportation costs and food/beverage at the venue can add up quickly if attending with others.

It’s a judgement free zone

Attending a concert can be an unforgettable experience that leaves you feeling inspired for days afterward. Attending live performances can lift both emotions and mood while offering the chance to bond with new people while supporting artists who rely on live shows as their primary income stream.

Concerts are live musical performances held before an audience in large venues, typically by solo singers or ensembles like orchestras and choirs. Concert venues may range from small nightclubs to concert halls or stadiums; outdoor parks or beaches may even host such concerts; other names for them include gig and show performances.

Many musicians use concerts as an avenue to promote their work and convince fans to purchase albums or other products from them. Unfortunately, certain artists may cause offense or create controversy that compromises an audience member’s experience at their shows.

It’s a bonding experience

Sharing a passion for music with like-minded individuals can be an incredibly meaningful experience, creating lifelong bonds between performers and audiences that often extend far beyond concerts themselves. Music has always been an integral part of human society, so nothing beats experiencing a live performance!

Concerts come in all forms – from intimate chamber orchestra performances to large outdoor rock festivals – taking place anywhere from private houses to nightclubs to dedicated concert halls or amphitheatres. Concerts may also be known by other names, including recitals or gigs.

Recitals are musical performances by solo performers accompanied by piano or another instrument, usually easier and shorter than classical concerts, that may take place at schools, gymnasiums, auditoriums or family functions. Children’s recitals also provide an opportunity for beginning instrumentalists to display their skills to family members.

It’s a natural high

Concert music can create an incredible, euphoric rush of adrenaline that lingers long after the show has concluded, providing you with a natural high that may help to maintain health and happiness in life.

Live shows give audiences an unparalleled opportunity to appreciate musicians’ talent and skill up close, which can be especially rewarding for fans who can see their favorite artist perform in smaller venues. Furthermore, attending shows allows fans to meet others who share a similar passion and form lifelong bonds that last a lifetime.

Live performances often include opening acts that introduce you to new bands and singers who you might enjoy, some of whom may go on to become immensely popular over time. Therefore, attending concerts regularly is key if you hope to discover music you might love!

It’s a great way to discover new music

Music is an international language that transcends cultural barriers and unites people across divides. Concerts offer the perfect platform to explore new music while also giving fans an outlet to listen to old favorites. Since most bands and artists possess multiple musical genres, it’s crucial that we explore their entire discography by following musicians/critics/websites/Bandcamp pages etc.

Also an effective way of discovering new music is watching television shows with excellent soundtracks – for instance Emily in Paris features indie artists like Le Couleur, French79 and Kid Francescoli on its soundtrack. If that isn’t enough for you, try searching producers of tracks you love on Spotify to see if there are other songs by them that might interest you; or listen to mashups featuring songs with different tempos and instrumentals as a fun way of broadening your horizons musically!

The Rise and Fall of Adele

Adele is an artist renowned for her songs about female rites of passage. As she matured, fell in love and parted ways, Adele recorded four albums that bear her age at recording them; now with 30 (her latest) she’s looking ahead.

An important yet challenging challenge awaits you.

How She Became Famous

Adele stands as an unlikely hero in an industry whose value has been cut in half over the past decade, defying trends and breaking records alike with albums consistently topping charts around the globe.

She stands out as an original with an exquisite voice that resonates with audiences worldwide. Never having taken formal singing lessons herself, she stands as one of few musicians with naturally gifted singing voice.

Adele made an immediate splash upon release of her 2008 debut album ’19’ and has gone on to sell millions worldwide since. Adele followed up this success in 2011 with her follow up ’21’ which has also become some of the best-selling records of this century.

Her Debut Album

Adele made an impactful statement with her debut album Adele: she can sing about heartbreak and loss with remarkable grace, not only because her voice is stunning but because her lyrics are profound.

Women’s Power serves as an invocation. A simple piano melody brings drama and subtle anger; yet at the same time this song remains hopeful.

On 30, she began shifting away from pop structures and exploring a fuller sound with gospel, jazz and soul influences – using samples of Erroll Garner piano for an airy vintage sound on All Night Parking interlude track.

Her Second Album

Adele’s second studio album explored her experiences of loss and recovery. It captured Adele’s journey from being an uncertain girl navigating life to an empowered woman rediscovering herself and finding purposeful happiness.

This record begins with a Fender Rhodes keyboard hook and jazzy torch-ballad melodrama, nodding towards Portishead and Lauryn Hill in its opening bars. Over time, however, its music becomes increasingly experimental, drawing inspiration from modern R&B like Mos Def and Elbow as well as Old Hollywood soul music from 1970s soul artists like Prince and Stevie Wonder.

This work by Kelis is her most dense and emotionally moving ever, unlike her previous albums which could sometimes feel too self-consciously dramatic or disjointed in pace and tone. Kelis’ bravura vocals are truly inspiring!

Her Third Album

Adele raised the stakes with her sophomore LP after 21’s success by telling a narrative over 12 tracks while exploring more contemporary musical ideas – her sound seemed less bound up in longstanding traditions and more in line with new visionaries such as Frank Ocean and Jazmine Sullivan.

On 25, Adele explored ways to update her classic style and sound without diluting its emotional intensity. She would gently bring you down and then build you back up again before offering an easy listening respite in “Sweetest Devotion”.

Adele used this album to demonstrate the range of emotions her voice could convey, from whimsical to dramatic to melancholic; her strong vocals amplified this range.

Her Fourth Album

Adele has experienced dramatic transformation since 2008. No longer the shy teenager from Tottenham who would enjoy drinking cheap cider with friends in the park, Adele is now an international pop superstar with a global fan base, professional helpers and an Old Etonian as her partner; with an estimated brand value estimated in millions or even billions.

With her 2015 debut 25 she shifted away from a narrative of breakup, instead exploring how you can move beyond heartache and heal yourself. However, on 30 she went further by exploring all aspects of emotion in song – making them legible to an audience who only heard about them through song before. 30 is her most diverse album to date as she collaborated with both old and new producers to expand her sonic palette while showing the full depths of her vocal range.

A Look at Matt Rife

Matt Rife is an esteemed comedian with a distinct talent. Throughout his career in comedy he has amassed an enormous fanbase.

His love for animals has also contributed to his success in the entertainment industry.

His Personal Life

Matt Rife quickly gained popularity on TikTok and quickly attracted attention from women wanting to date him. Currently he is dating English actress and dancer Jessica Lord; however he prefers not to disclose much information regarding their relationship.

Rife first attracted attention in 2017 by dating Kate Beckinsale despite the significant age difference between them.

Matt Rife remains grounded and humble despite his newfound fame, maintaining an online website to document his tours as well as sell merchandise featuring his name.

Though Rife has found it challenging to sustain his comedy specials, he remains dedicated to his craft. Citing comedy great Dave Chappelle as his source of inspiration and upholding free speech as his fundamental right, Rife also advocates that the line between offensive and funny is subjective and that comedians who apologize for offending others may simply be covering up who they truly are in public feeds and hiding behind sanitization or hiding their true selves from view.

His Comedy

Rife has found success as a stand-up comedian by using social media as his platform of choice to build his popularity and develop his crowd work skills. His special, Natural Selection, is similar to this theme as he spends much of the hour playing off of his audience members’ reactions and interactions with them.

Not to say there aren’t some laugh-out-loud moments within this special. Unfortunately, too much of it plays like setups with overstated words and no clear progression between jokes.

Rife’s exploration of serious topics such as race and sexuality often includes an intense defensiveness that feels inherent to its subject matter.

His Controversy

Rife has never shied away from making controversial jokes and has often been criticized for his dark sense of humor, with accusations ranging from being misogynist, racist, ableist and more being levelled against him in his jokes.

After going viral in 2022 due to his crowdwork video going viral on TikTok, the comedian rose to national attention and eventually produced a Netflix special which premiered Nov. 15. However, some critics took issue with its opening joke which referenced domestic violence as such an inappropriate subject matter for inclusion.

Rife told a story during his special about being at a restaurant with his friend when they noticed the hostess’ black eye, leading him to dream that one day he could punch someone in the face for no discernible reason.

Hedaya said that Rife needs to take a step back and examine why such offensive jokes keep cropping up; she added that Rife appears too fragile when dealing with criticism, needing to “take some hits” as a comedian.

His Audience

Rife has been performing as a standup comedian for several years and has shared the stage with some of the industry’s biggest comedians. Additionally, he has appeared on various TV shows and is working on creating his own Netflix comedy special.

Uncertain reasons exist for his decision to offend his core audience by making jokes about domestic violence and related topics in his Netflix special, perhaps because of an insecurity about having predominantly female fans.

No matter the case may be, it was evident that his jokes were found offensive by his audience. Ironically, they happened at a time when global dialogue has focused on tolerance and acceptance – yet his remarks came as yet another example of “red pill” teenage boys who believe their humor only counts when it makes sexist or derogatory comments against vulnerable groups.

Jazz Singer-Songwriter Norah Jones

Norah Jones first made her mark on music with the release of Come Away With Me in 2002 – an instant-classic album that combined jazz, folk and pop music for maximum impact and critical praise.

Visions, co-produced with Leon Michels of El Michels Affair and Dan Auerbach fame, traverses multiple genres from new-twang country multiverses to retro soul boulevards to R&B swank seamlessly.

Born in Texas

Jones attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, where she participated in choir singing and alto saxophone playing. Additionally, Jones briefly attended University of North Texas before leaving after two years.

Come Away With Me (2002) was Norah Jones’ debut release that proved her versatility across genres and generations of music, from jazz to pop and everything in between. Produced with legendary jazz producer Craig Street (Cassandra Wilson and Manhattan Transfer) and master arranger Arif Mardin – it received outstanding reviews as well as multiple Grammys!

Moved to New York City

As soon as Norah Jones arrived in New York City in 1999, she quickly made a name for herself as a jazz singer.

With her sophomore album Feels Like Home released in 2004, Norah began to experiment with her sound, exploring pop with moody electric instrumentation while remaining true to her jazz roots.

Since then, Norah has made her acting debut in Wong Kar-Wai’s 2007 film My Blueberry Nights and started numerous roots-inspired side projects, such as Little Willies and Puss n Boots. Additionally she has collaborated with artists like Logic, Robert Glasper and Ravi Shankar.

Signed with Blue Note Records

Norah Jones’ smoky contralto and signature piano stylings played an instrumental role in revitalizing Jazz. Her 2002 debut Come Away With Me received both critical and commercial acclaim upon its release.

Feels Like Home followed in 2004, featuring an ensemble of New York musicians including bassist Lee Alexander, drummer Dan Rieser and guitarist Jesse Harris.

Horace Silver’s timeless Jazz standard “Peace” is covered on this album and its simple but emotive melody blends piano chords with an atmospheric soprano sax solo to produce an emotive performance.

Released Come Away With Me in 2002

Come Away With Me may contain only one track that could be classified as jazz; however, the piano-driven album doesn’t follow that pattern strictly. Jones is supported by guitarist Jesse Harris and bassist Lee Alexander who co-wrote many songs on Come Away With Me.

Although its genre-defying sound was difficult to categorize, Norah sold over 27 million copies worldwide of her album despite this. Additionally, its lead single ‘Don’t Know Why’ won her three Grammy awards in 2003 – cementing its success and becoming her most successful album to date.

Released Feels Like Home in 2004

After the success of her debut album, Jones returned to the studio and recorded Feels Like Home. This time around she took an active part in songwriting – co-writing or co-authoring six out of the thirteen tracks featured on this release.

The result was an engaging album that transcended country and folk influences of Come Away With Me yet still managed to find favor with both critics and fans.

Released Not Too Late in 2007

After two multimillion-selling albums and eight Grammys, Norah Jones decided it was time to produce her own compositions on an album of her own compositions. NPR Special Correspondent Susan Stamberg finds them pleasing yet subdued; an attractive blend of originals as well as classic covers has resulted.

Not Too Late proves she has more to offer than MOR or dinner jazz; her talent stands up against artists such as Madeleine Peyroux and Diane Krall. Her most effective songs include slow brooders like Wish I Could with its guitar arpeggios and cello harmonies.

Released The Fall in 2010

The Fall is an unexpected departure from Jones’s previous piano ballads; here, producer Jacquire King creates an atmospheric setting filled with clanging guitars and rhythmic grooves that has cemented her reputation.

The Fall is an outlandish visual feast and one of Tarsem’s wildest indulgences ever. He spent millions to craft this grand, overblown fantasy which pays off with both beautiful imagery and emotionally charged dramatisation.

Released Visions in 2015

Norah Jones’ unexpected success with an unconventional musical style has opened the door for performers utilizing similar sounds; Britain’s Jamie Cullum, for instance, has established an outstanding career playing old-time pop standards and jazz piano music.

Visions is a funky yet gently psychedelic garage-soul album produced by Leon Michels who played with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. This record features Jones’ soulful vocals among fuzzy guitars and off-kilter drums for an irresistibly fun listen.

Monster Jam – The Drivers Are Just As Important As the Trucks

Monster Jam brings people of all ages together for an exhilarating viewing experience: big trucks tearing up stadium floors with fiberglass bodies shredding off, axles breaking, and sometimes even sparks flying off them!

Monster Jam’s truck culture is part of what keeps Feld Motor Sports growing and will help reach new fans through international expansion and adopting electric technology.

Drivers

Monster Jam drivers are an integral component of its show, each possessing their own distinct style, personality and charisma that adds extra excitement for spectators. Some drivers even become celebrities in their own right!

Jim Koelher and Avenger have been an iconic pair since 1999. Fans have become fast fans, as this fan favorite and multiple World Finals champion consistently showcases both technical expertise and flair at Monster Jam events.

Ryan Anderson has been driving Son-uva Digger since 2011 and boasts an illustrious career in Monster Jam. As the son of Monster Jam Hall-of-Famer Dennis Anderson, Ryan has won four World Finals championships during that time.

Trucks

Monster trucks are massive machines with distinctive designs and appearances. Each monster truck boasts its own distinct character. Constructed to protect drivers at all times, many feature specially-made roll cages. Monster trucks run on methanol fuel engines capable of producing 1,500 horsepower.

Monster Jam’s lineup of trucks includes several iconic names like Grave Digger, Max-D and El Toro Loco that stand out in terms of distinctive features that set them apart from one another – some even bearing themes based on popular characters!

Some trucks feature weapons and firearms, but due to safety concerns they are rarely used during events. Gunslinger was renamed Slinger after its use of guns was brought up during an event; Metal Mulisha and Soldier Fortune have had their firearms removed as well – this censorship has not gone over well with fans as some see it as disrespect for the sport.

Tracks

Stadium and arena spectators are treated to an unforgettable show as Monster Jam drivers push their 12,000-pound trucks to the limit in freestyle, two-wheel skills, donuts and racing competitions. These world-class male and female athletes possessing both physical strength and mental stamina have perfected these machines resulting in breathtaking action that amazes audiences at every event.

Truck designs continue to change as drivers discover ways to dazzle audiences with thrilling performances and add risky elements into their performances. While basic trucks are designed for long-term durability, certain components may require replacement from time to time.

Monster Jam meets fan demands by working towards environmentally friendly initiatives such as transitioning towards electric vehicles in time. While this transition will take place gradually, it is part of Monster Jam’s long-term plan.

Safety

Monster Jam trucks and drivers go through extensive training to ensure spectator safety. Attend safety briefings and undergo thorough safety inspections prior to every show, while an ignition interruption feature operated by show staff allows a truck to shut off in an emergency situation.

Monster Jam remains an enjoyable event for children and adults of all ages, even those who may find its content terrifying. Many events take place away from dirt tracks; visitors can observe trucks up close at Pit Parties or during freestyle competitions on the ground level.

Bring binoculars and wear comfortable shoes for the best viewing experience at the Pit Party, which can get quite busy at times. Also plan on arriving early to secure yourself a good seat; also expect that shows may last an extended amount of time; drivers often sign autographs and wave to fans after each performance as part of their fan service experience; plus audience voting with smartphones will determine who wins!

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an iconic natural acoustic concert venue surrounded by iconic rock formations, known for hosting performances from all genres over time.

Red Rocks has long been considered an oasis for music enthusiasts, from legendary acts like The Beatles to more contemporary artists like U2 and Mumford & Sons – no doubt making Red Rocks an irresistibly immersive musical experience for its attendees.

The History of Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheatre offers much more than a concert venue; it offers an immersive experience crafted out of rock formations themselves. Here you will discover natural beauty, cultural depth and, above all, music!

Fountain Formation’s gigantic sandstone outcroppings–higher than Niagara Falls and part of geological Fountain Formation–became famous as a musical destination during the early 1900s when Renaissance man John Brisben Walker created an informal stage between Ship Rock and Creation Rock for musical performances. A well-known opera singer later declared it to be “acoustically ideal”, drawing musicians flocking there ever since.

Denver purchased the area in 1936 and began construction of an outdoor amphitheater using CCC enrollees as laborers. Construction took 12 years, which officially opened to the public on September 28, 1941. Today, 738-acre Park spans National Historic Landmark status; not only for concerts or other events but also hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding or taking yoga classes!

The Venue’s Natural Beauty

Red Rocks is more than a venue; it’s an experience combining natural beauty and music. Red Rocks Park features two iconic sandstone formations called Ship Rock and Creation Rock that add to its captivating atmosphere with open skies, warm red sandstone walls and breathtaking vistas stretching for miles around.

The Park is also home to an abundance of wildlife, and visitors often spot mule deer grazing the grassy areas or scampering across its rugged terrain. Hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails give visitors the chance to discover its distinctive geology, trees, wildflowers and fauna.

The incredible acoustics and amazing ambience at Red Rocks Amphitheatre draw performers from around the globe, such as U2, Mumford & Sons and Widespread Panic. Attending concerts here creates an unforgettable musical experience while cultivating a strong sense of community among music enthusiasts – just make sure that responsible concert etiquette is practiced to ensure it remains as clean as when you left!

The Music

Red Rocks Amphitheatre, created from geological forces, is internationally acclaimed, drawing concertgoers, outdoor exercise enthusiasts and music history buffs from all around the globe. Iconic 300-foot monoliths known as Ship Rock and Creation Rock contribute to its incredible acoustics while the Denver Mountain Park provides hiking trails, picnic areas, trading post, two music Halls of Fame as well as other amenities for visitors.

Red Rocks offers something for every musical taste and U2’s 1983 performance at Red Rocks was immortalized both on record and screen in Under a Blood Red Sky (live album and movie).

Dan Folgelberg has long captivated listeners with his soulful blend of harmonies and angelic voice since the 1970s. A Colorado native himself, Folgelberg often performed multi-night runs at this venue.

The Venue’s Accessibility

Red Rocks provides numerous features designed to ensure guests with disabilities enjoy an inclusive and satisfying experience at Red Rocks. In addition to wheelchair access, there are designated seating areas and ramps throughout the venue that visitors with limited mobility may use to sit for optimal viewing or purchase companion tickets with friends and family members.

At such an immensely popular venue, wheelchair users have claimed that tickets for accessible seating sell out within minutes of going on sale and are then resold for four or five times their original face value – an issue now being addressed through new policies implemented as a response to their lawsuit.

To avoid this issue, those needing accessible accommodations should purchase the appropriate ticket at the point of sale and inform staff they require wheelchair space. In addition, those who purchased regular tickets and later decide they require accessible seating can contact their point of purchase and request exchange for accessible seating options.

Billy Joel and Sting at Petco Park

As raindrops began pelting Petco Park during Billy Joel’s set on Saturday evening, the pianist joked about other musical figures who have had to contend with inclement conditions.

At the conclusion of his 16-song set, Sting invited Joel back onstage for a duet performance of their deep cut “Big Man on Mulberry Street.” Learn more.

The Duets

Sting delivered an incredible set, performing all his classic songs with such passion that they seemed as though they had only recently been written. Even after performing them countless times before, Roxanne, Message in a Bottle, and Englishman in New York seemed fresh as ever.

Billy Joel opened with a strong performance. His set featured every hit imaginable and was an effective way for fans to relive their youth and begin the show in style.

Joel surprised fans with an extra special duet when he brought out Sting to perform The Police song ‘Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic’. They will again join forces at San Diego’s Petco Park in April as well as his remaining co-headlining shows with Stevie Nicks – watch fan-shot clips of this performance below!

The Songs

Sting’s 16-song opening set was an impeccable example of pace, balance and musicality. His vocals may not be as powerful anymore but were still warm and resonant during his performances of “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic”, “Message in a Bottle”, and even his new wave hit song, “King of Pain”.

The singer demonstrated his impressive bass skills by adding depth and texture to some of his classics. Additionally, he used Juice WRLD’s harmonica intro from “Lucid Dreams” for a fresh interpretation and sampled instrumentals to boost the beat in Billy Joel’s “Shape of My Heart.”

Joel showed the Florida audience his affection for New York through clips of the Brooklyn Bridge during “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)” and crashing waves during an upbeat rendition of “New York State of Mind.” On jazzy songs like “Big Man on Mulberry Street” he would twirl his mic stand like a baton like an orchestra conductor while bopping across stage wearing his gray suit and brimmed hat to create some delightful music; looking as cool as ever as well!

The Performances

Reintroducing Sting for “Message in a Bottle” seemed like the natural choice. His voice sounded smooth as ever and their rapport kept audiences riveted in their seats.

Joel also proved he could rock as hard as his critics claimed he couldn’t, unleashing an energetic version of “New York State of Mind.” As it played, crowd members cheered and images of Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty flashed across the screen.

And when it came time for “Turn the Lights Back On,” the singer truly shined. His rendition sounded just as impressive live as on radio, and fans were treated to an encore performance featuring Sting singing lead on choruses – leaving their fans in no doubt that this performance would long be remembered.

The Venue

Billy Joel has garnered various honors and awards during his impressive career. He was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as receiving one of America’s highest cultural honours: the Kennedy Center Honor. Additionally, he has received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song and has composed music for multiple films.

He has never been one to rest on his laurels; rather he continues producing music (including a comeback single released earlier this month) while doing some charitable work and lecturing at colleges around the country.

He has an exciting schedule lined up, including two shows with Stevie Nicks and solo gigs. Later this summer he’ll conclude his 10-year Madison Square Garden residency and has performances scheduled in San Diego, St Louis and Texas – it doesn’t appear he plans on slowing down anytime soon!
