Finally, Vince uses police arrests as leverage against Stone Cold and Austin which begins their first big moneymaking feud of Attitude Era; further reducing ratings slump from Nitro ending which would see only 4 Million tune in weekly by December 2002.

The IC Title

WWE acquired WCW in 2001 and since then have used only two titles; among these is the Intercontinental Championship which is one of its most coveted championships. Current or past champions of this title include WWE Hall-of-Famers such as Pat Patterson, Don Muraco, The Rock, Bret “Hit Man” Hart Ultimate Warrior Steve Austin as well as Pat Patterson who held it once.

Only five men have held onto the IC Title for over one year: Pedro Morales, Randy Savage, The Honky Tonk Man (Honky Tonk Man), Gunther and Sheamus – with Gunther holding the record for most consecutive reigns with seven!

Last night on Raw, Jey Uso became the first wrestler ever to capture the coveted Intercontinental Title after beating Bron Breakker in an incredible main event battle. Unfortunately, according to Xero News’ reports, his reign may soon come to an end; whether that happens at Bad Blood or later remains to be seen; regardless, it seems a new era has begun for this prized prize!

The Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches

The Money in the Bank ladder match has long been a mainstay of WWE pay-per-view events, pitting participants against one another in an attempt to retrieve an upside-down briefcase filled with contracts guaranteeing championship matches to its victor. Up until 2017, these matches had only been open to male wrestlers; since 2017, women wrestlers can also compete.

Qualifying matches were held to select participants for this year’s match, beginning on the May 23 episode of Raw with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens competing against each other for entry into the match, while Cesaro and Dean Ambrose also qualified after wins on that episode.

Drew McIntyre and Sheamus squared off for entry into a men’s match on SmackDown on June 10th; however, this bout ended abruptly due to attacks between McIntyre and Sheamus resulting in double disqualification – setting up an unexpected qualifier between Sheamus and McIntyre for next week – the latter who would cash out his contract on Sheamus to win it all.

The Wyatt Sicks

Few groups have made as great an impression since their Raw debut as The Wyatt Sicks have. Led by Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy), Nikki Cross (Abby The Witch), Dexter Lumis (Mercy The Buzzard), and Joe Gacy (Huskus The Pig), this unruly quartet left a path of destruction Monday night while hinting that former WWE Champion may be their next target.

No doubt much of their storyline will take place on RAW, yet limiting their appearances solely to that show would be a mistake. A mixture of appearances across RAW, SmackDown, and NXT keeps audiences guessing as to the group’s true intentions and moral compass.

The Eagles – A Rockumentary

After two and a half seasons of dominance, Philadelphia’s Eagles experienced one of the worst home-stretch collapses ever witnessed in NFL history – one with lasting consequences that may persist for years to come.

The Eagles have won millions of fans around the world. They’ve earned themselves induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and are considered legendary. But critics seem determined to disapprove. Why?

Origins

The Eagles were one of the most successful bands of the 70s, scoring six number-one albums and this rockumentary explores their story – from formation through their eventual breakup and reunion in 1994.

David Geffen’s Asylum Records gave the band their major label deal and British producer Glyn Johns produced their debut album; which yielded two top 20 hits including ‘Take It Easy’ which helped soften country rock’s harsh edges and propel the band’s success.

After Leadon abruptly exited, famously pouring beer over Glenn Frey’s head upon leaving, The Eagles hired Joe Walsh as his replacement. Walsh, having previously been part of The James Gang before joining The Eagles, provided harder rock credentials and added harder edges to their sound. Henley and Frey desired for On the Border’s style to shift away from its country origins and move towards hard rock; Frey brought in friend Don Felder on slide guitar as session musician for this album project.

Early Years

From their self-titled 1971 debut through to 1975’s Hotel California release, The Eagles created an extensive catalog of hit studio albums which dominated the charts. Originally formed as Linda Ronstadt’s backing band, Don Henley and Glenn Frey assembled this influential ensemble.

After releasing several hit singles such as “Take it Easy”, “Witchy Woman”, and “Desperado”, the band recorded their debut album ‘Eagles” at London Olympic Studios under producer Glyn Johns – it proved to be an enormous success and propelled them into stardom.

Don Felder was instrumental in The Eagles moving away from country and bluegrass influences, producing an unrivalled combination of laid-back grooves and Hollywood studio calculation that distinguished their work between 1974 and 1979 – most noticeably evident on songs like ‘One of These Nights’, Hotel California, and The Long Run. Following their departure in 1975, Henley and Frey each achieved huge solo success while Felder went on to record with Steely Dan albums like Pretzel Logic and The Royal Scam.

Hotel California

With its powerful melodies and precise instrumental work, this Eagles classic stands as one of their signature tracks. It embodies their distinctive sound while telling an incredible tale.

“Lyin’ Eyes” belies an insightful understanding of a girl who cheats on her rich old man and marries country directness with Hollywood studio calculation. The Eagles excelled at merging this genre seamlessly.

Joe Walsh joined the Eagles prior to recording Hotel California, providing technical expertise combined with his signature rambunctiousness. The Long Run

After years of honing their vocal harmonies and country-rock grooves, The Eagles achieved unprecedented success with 1976’s Hotel California album. Unfortunately, their 1979 follow up The Long Run proved much harder.

Critics dismissed The Long Run as a major disappointment when compared to its predecessor; however, commercially it proved immensely successful with three Top 10 singles making up part of its sales success. Unfortunately, however, their struggles to maintain such early success would lead to their dissolution as a band.

At the time of recording their final concert album, tensions between Glenn Frey and Don Felder had reached their pinnacle, leading Felder to leave shortly after its conclusion; these concerts would later be released as part of Selected Works: 1972-1999 box set released later that year and were the last concerts performed as an entire Eagles unit prior to Felder leaving; after his departure was confirmed in 1995 by their 1995 reunion album being named Hell Freezes Over, which perfectly captured their disintegrating state at that point in time.

After each game and during practice weeks, players are available for interview by media representatives and must make themselves available regularly for interviews by media personnel.

NFL rules dictate that in order to begin any play, the ball must first be placed at a specific spot on the line of scrimmage before any play can begin. A center then hands over to one of their backs or quarterbacks who either throws or runs with it. Each team gets four downs to advance 10 yards on a play.

Offense

The National Football League’s most successful offenses fill stadiums and draw television viewers, drawing more fans into game day than their defensive counterparts can ever hope to do. Special teams teams consist of kickers and punters as the focal points, using precision and nerve to break open opponents’ uprights. Long snappers must deliver flawless snaps without losing possession, and special teams also include return and kickoff coverage teams that seek to push opponents away from their end zones.

Time-outs

Each team is entitled to three timeouts per half. When calling a timeout, its use must be reported immediately to either a referee or game official for consideration and will result in play being suspended until its next down is initiated by one or both teams.

Teams should avoid falsifying injuries to gain extra timeouts; doing so would constitute illegal timeout and lead to a 10-second runoff of their 40-second play clock.

Whenever a timeout is taken after either the two-minute warning or end of period, officials will subtract 10 seconds from the game clock before setting it back at 30 seconds and giving an ‘all clear’ signal before permitting play to resume on an “available for play” signal.

Amphitheaters are remarkable geological wonders, featuring two massive stone slabs known as Ship Rock and Creation Rock as its physical boundaries and contributing significantly to its world-renowned acoustics.

History

John Brisben Walker began hosting concerts on a temporary platform built between Ship Rock and Creation Rock (then known as Garden of the Titans), taking advantage of their natural acoustics to become known for hosting performances in that venue.

But it wasn’t until 1936 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal Civilian Conservation Corps arrived to assist with developing and building the amphitheatre. Since Red Rocks Amphitheatre offers both general admission and reserved seating, it is best to arrive early for shows to ensure a great seat. Furthermore, all venue rules should be observed, such as refraining from fighting, offensive language and gestures, climbing rock formations or climbing trees; no pets other than certified service animals are allowed and smoking at Red Rocks is illegal.

Parking

Many concertgoers who have never visited Red Rocks before can be dismayed at how far it takes them to enter. Though part of the experience, Kitts recommends carpooling with friends and arriving early so you can secure one of the lots closer to Red Rocks and grab a parking spot closer.

Upper North lot is the premier parking spot, due to its close proximity to the entrance of the amphitheater and breathtaking panoramic views. Unfortunately, this means an even longer walk back after each performance!

Parking in the South Lots (Lower and Upper) will require traveling a greater distance and climbing more of a vertical incline, but will make leaving after a night of dancing more relaxing. Vehicles may remain parked there until 10:00 am the morning after an event takes place; many visitors prefer this option so as to reduce stress in navigating heavy traffic after having enjoyed music and beverages all evening long.

LIFE Magazine Celebrates The Eagles’ Legacy 50 Years Ago

LIFE magazine honors The Eagles’ legacy with a special issue dedicated to them and their songs still being heard 50 years since their formation.

In 2005, led by quarterback Donovan McNabb and linebacker Nnamdi Asomugha, the Eagles emerged from a decade of mediocrity to capture their third division crown and advance to their first playoff contest, only to lose it later that same season.

Origins

The Eagles were an iconic American band whose members had all been playing music together for an extended period. Although each came from diverse musical backgrounds, they all found common ground when it came to rock and roll music and shared it. Together, they embraced life on the road with its various lifestyle elements – drugs, sex and music all combined into one incredible performance experience that filled sold-out arenas for decades.

The band combined country and rock and roll influences to bring country-rock music into the mainstream. Their amazing harmonies made their music an instant classic; “Take It Easy,” “Hotel California” and “Heartache Tonight” quickly became standard repertoire for musicians looking to gain exposure for their own material.

Henley’s rock ‘n roll exuberance combined with Frey’s creative deliberation made them the ideal pair for their band. As talented singers themselves, both were also adept at delivering their lines with authority and conviction. Furthermore, both were generous men, creating an organization which provided medical, dental, disability, and funeral benefits far in excess of those provided by Social Security or Medicare.

Early Years

As they climbed the charts, their success as recording/touring artists blossomed. Henley and Frey both were prolific songwriters; thus they began writing songs featuring distinctive harmonies that would distinguish their band.

By the time of Hotel California’s release in 1976, The Eagles had established themselves as America’s band. Their music spoke directly to Americans’ desire to explore America’s wild frontier by traveling westward on motorized transportation; preferable in an iconic muscle car with an eagle-shaped bird on its hood.

At home games from September through mid-October, the Eagles started wearing black jerseys with white pants at home games – sometimes also sporting black socks for added contrast.

Defense was supposed to be one of the strengths of this team. Under new DC Sean Desai’s direction, players focused on swarming to the ball quickly and removing blocks to force opponents to make decisions. Although this plan seemed promising on paper, in practice and against real competition it fell flat – the Eagles gave up many big plays which proved costly.

Late Years

As the band entered its late stages, factions began to emerge within it. Leadon, who provided its initial spark, found it hard to adjust to rock music; eventually he was replaced by Walsh – an ex-James Gang guitarist with technical experience and infectious rambunctiousness.

From their laid-back debut record to Desperado and Hotel California studio efforts, The Eagles always drew on folk, country and blues traditions for emotional resonance – yet were flexible enough to bend these conventions at various junctures.

1979’s The Long Run marked the final studio album the group produced before disbanding in 1980, featuring Heartache Tonight (number one in Billboard charts), two top-10 hits, and other singles that became hits as well as top-10 songs. Subsequently, members pursued solo careers before reuniting again for Hell Freezes Over and touring regularly since. A remarkable 52-year journey awaits our verdict; but history will ultimately speak its mind about whether this band deserves its place among history.
