The Acoustics at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheatre boasts remarkable acoustics that are the main draw for musicians and music fans alike, and is on many bucket list items for both performers and fans. Its unique setting and rock formations absorb sound rather than reflecting it back, giving performers an intimate connection with their audience. Furthermore, this venue is often utilized by big name musicians looking to film videos or record live albums as the natural beauty provides an amazing backdrop.

Visits to the park are well worth it even without concerts – its geological wonders alone make a visit worthwhile! Additionally, hiking trails abound within its boundaries and weekend mornings are especially busy with locals and tourists exercising together in its vicinity. Be sure to stop by the visitor center where walls lined with names of every act that has ever performed there along with awards are an absolute must-see!

Film on the Rocks at the amphitheatre offers outdoor movies during summer months for an enjoyable way to watch a flick under the stars without having to find an overcrowded parking lot and pay for food/beer inside a theater.

At any point in time, visitors to this park can explore its rock formations on their own or join one of the guided tours to gain more information about its history. Hiking is also very popular and you might get lucky enough to witness wildlife such as herds of antelope and deer roaming freely within its borders.

At an amphitheater, there are two vast parking lots where it may take time for everyone to return their cars. To save yourself some time when exiting, purchase a VIP ticket that allows you to bypass lines and leave quickly.

Since opening to the public in 1941, it has become a national historic landmark and hosted many of music’s biggest acts and concerts of note.

Some of the most popular shows are often sold out and it isn’t uncommon to see people bring both children and their dogs along to see these popular shows. While having young kids at concerts may prove challenging when they get bored or start crying, some parents consider it a milestone to bring their child(ren) for their first concert at this iconic amphitheater and most will say that it was worth every penny spent.

Footloose the Musical

If you enjoyed Kevin Bacon’s 1984 film of the same name, then you will enjoy this lively production filled with incredible dancing and singing performances by an excellent cast. Not to be missed on your visit to Simi Valley!

Ren McCormack moves with his mother after their father abandons them to Bomont, a small town known for having laws against dancing he wants to change. Soon enough he discovers he’s not the only one wanting to break these laws by dancing; thus leading a revolution to overturn these regulations and open up Bomont for dancing!

Footloose the Musical is an award-winning Broadway show inspired by the 1984 movie of the same name. Featuring its original book and music as well as eight additional songs including classics “Almost Paradise”, “Let’s Hear It for the Boy”, and the title track. By uniting dynamic new songs with powerful Oscar-nominated hits from its soundtrack, this production celebrates youth exhilaration alongside listening.

This high-energy musical is an immersive journey through self-discovery, full of energetic dancing and singing that will transport audiences back to simpler times when shoes were required to enter a house. With an outstanding cast comprised of teens and young adults as well as some truly classic musical theatre songs written specifically for this production.

Although this show draws heavily from its source material, it remains an enjoyable production that leaves audiences with some thought-provoking takeaways about community and how dance benefits everyone involved. Plus, it makes an excellent opportunity to bring friends along!

As someone skeptical of live theater productions in general, I was slightly wary about seeing the Footloose production in Toronto. At first it appeared like it would be another effort at trying to lure in middle-American Stepford audiences with loud noise and overproduced high school-esque banter, lighting directly into my eyes, and loud noise levels that overpower any sense of atmosphere or reality in films like Footloose; but I was delighted by just how much I enjoyed this version of a classic film!

Amy Marie McCleary directed and choreographed an excellent production. Additionally, the use of space on stage was well utilized: many scenes were created on one set allowing for quick changes between settings without going from one scene to the next – creating the sense that you were experiencing different settings rather than revisiting just one environment over and over.

Costumes, lighting, sound design and video wall were all outstanding as well. I particularly appreciated how video wall was used to create larger sets that didn’t fit on stage and create an enjoyable atmosphere. I am thankful to have experienced this production and hope you do too. So get your tickets today for an entertaining musical!

Benefits of Concerts

Many musicians rely on concert performances as their primary source of income, so by attending concerts you are supporting your favorite musicians while improving your mood and increasing happiness. Studies have proven that listening to music reduces stress hormones while the energetic performance at live concerts can give people a natural high that lasts hours afterwards.

Attending concerts is an excellent way to meet new people and form lasting bonds with those you already know, or perhaps discover new musical tastes which could spark long-term friendships.

Attending concerts is an unforgettable experience, whether you’re watching your favorite band or an opening act. From wild sold out nights to calmer acoustic sets, concerts provide unmatched memories that you won’t get anywhere else; experiences you can talk about for years after.

Concerts often provide additional forms of entertainment to keep audiences excited and engaged, such as theatrical effects like acrobatics, dancers, back-up singers and inflatable structures for backdrop. Some performers use image projection systems or prerecorded video for performances as well. Live Aid in 1985 raised money for famine relief while also uniting fans from all around the globe who share an appreciation of music through its power to connect them all together through song.

As well as enjoying your music, dancing and jumping along to your favorite tunes is also an effective way to burn calories! Concerts usually involve standing and moving around extensively, allowing you to quickly burn a great deal of energy within an hour or less – and that number rises if walking to and from the venue itself; an average person can actually burn about 300-350 per hour at rock concerts!

One of the key components of concert planning is selecting your talent. Make sure the talent chosen has an effectful connection to your target audience’s demographics and interests; additionally, factor in any costs or travel costs involved when selecting talent for your show.

Concerts offer music lovers an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience, drawing them together for something truly unforgettable. Concerts have the power to turn any small venue into an incredible spectacle that brings everyone together; whether attending with old acquaintances or new people, attending will leave lasting memories that you can share for years afterward.

PJ Harvey – Singer-Songwriter

PJ Harvey is a British singer-songwriter widely considered one of the premier female rock musicians of her generation. Known for her mythically tuned, fanatically furious records and thrilling live performances, she is best known for her sultry, mysterious music which blends both softness and poetic grandeur into one sublime package. A versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer who plays guitar, piano, violin, autoharp harmonica drums and keys; she is also an established visual artist, sculptor and writer.

Born into countercultural parents in rural England, PJ Harvey appears to have grown up understanding rock as just another elemental force within her landscape. Her performances display an intriguing theatricality; often alluding to mythological characters as archetypes (for instance “Sheela-na-gig,” refers to female exhibitionist carvings with gaping genitals found both there and in Ireland), along with her powerful voice creating an unnerving yet seductive aura of haunted allurement.

Harvey achieved her initial breakthrough with her 1992 album Dry. This produced an unexpected modern rock radio hit in the US called “Down by the Water,” while also garnering critical and commercial success.

Rid of Me was met with equally positive reception, while Harvey and Parish reunited after an absence during the late ’90s to record A Woman a Man Walked By and White Chalk respectively. She also made appearances in several movies such as The Book of Life (1998; based on Mary Magdalene) and Hal Hartley’s A Bunny Girl’s Tale of Sarah Miles (2001).

Harvey collaborated with Parish to record Let England Shake, winning her fifth Mercury Prize that year. Her albums often explore themes of political and social injustice; for example, she has performed concerts in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Washington D.C. and parts of Washington. D.C. She even composed the soundtrack for Belgian theater director Ivo van Hove’s 2019 London stage adaptation of All About Eve!

Harvey collaborated with producer Flood and John Parish on her most recent studio album, I Inside the Old Year Dying, to produce songs written in Dorset, Paris and New York City; Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke even sang lead vocals on three tracks including on her single, “This Mess We’re In”.

PJ Harvey is known for her incredible live shows that switch between vulnerable softness and her signature demonic intensity – her live shows can often involve physical contact between performer and audience, and their performances often leave audiences gasping in wonder! In addition to an impressive array of instruments, she uses large backdrops with umbrellas or various props as part of an unforgettable performance experience. Her ability to draw audiences in makes her highly intelligent and articulate as an artist; many musicians and critics respect her, with her iconic performances earning the respect of many musicians as well. She is widely respected by audiences alike – one could say she is one of today’s most influential female artists!

The Time Jumpers Band Returns to 3rd and Lindsley

If you haven’t experienced Nashville’s legendary western swing band The Time Jumpers yet, prepare yourself for an amazing experience. Their shows are lively and spontaneous with an incredible chemistry created by 11 of Nashville’s top musicians playing together; music that honors tradition while keeping up with today. Their star guest list has included Reba McEntire, Bonnie Raitt, Mo Pitney Delbert McClinton & Sheryl Crow among many more who have stopped by their residency every Monday at 3rd and Lindsley.

In 1998, The Time Jumpers formed as an informal jam session among Nashville’s recording studio elite in order to vent some steam and share songs they were fond of playing. Soon thereafter, their show quickly became an instantaneous success and soon outdrew stage capacity at Station Inn – drawing crowds that exceeded even this capacity! As word of their presence spread further afield, stars such as Elvis Costello and Robert Plant started joining them or hanging out, with Elvis often sitting in as well. Over time The Jumpers became “show that stars go see”, eventually earning them regular Monday night residencies at 3rd and Lindsley as fans built itineraries around this special event!

Following Dawn Sears’ death earlier this year, they recently announced they would add Wendy Moten as vocalist, following an album released this year called Kid Sister that pays a fitting tribute. Their tight knit lineup remains strong while becoming more relaxed; after over half a year off during pandemic episodes they plan to resume performing regularly at 3rd and Lindsley with Moten at their side.

Nashville Country Daily recently caught up with four members of Vince Gill’s band — Kenny Sears, Paul Franklin and Ranger Doug Green — to talk about their newest record and their Monday nights at 3rd and Lindsley.

All members of The Time Jumpers are multi-Grammy winners with years of hit records and international tours under their belts. Their musical DNA reflects traditional country, jazz and swing influences while each member draws personal inspiration from listening and watching performers at ballrooms such as Cain’s in Tulsa, Diamond in Oklahoma City, Cotillion in Wichita or other dance halls across the nation.

The members of this band find energy from playing intimate venues together. Comparable to touring massive stages as support acts for superstars on their own tours, playing small club venues provides them with a boost of adrenaline that they don’t find elsewhere – it feels more personal and family-like for them and extends into studio sessions when not touring; their collaboration on albums and live shows are truly impressive thanks to this sense of camaraderie between members that allows for communication and connection that’s hard to come by in today’s music business.

Randy Feltface

Randy Feltface is an unsavory existentialist puppet created by Australian comedian Heath McIvor. With an avid following around the world and regular appearances at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, his popularity continues to rise worldwide. Over his career, Randy Feltface has written and performed one-man shows that critique modern culture while deconstructing culturally religious belief systems; additionally he occasionally joins Sammy J as comedy duo Sammy & Randy to deliver shows.

His humor is often observational and often self-deprecatory, in which he critiques himself and discusses his failures. Frequently he will refer to being a puppet and thus being unable to see his audience, though on occasion he has broken the fourth wall by directly addressing them during shows.

Over his career, he has made numerous television appearances and was nominated for Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s Best Comedy Act award. Additionally, he was featured on NBC’s Bring the Funny show as well as numerous comedy festivals across the globe.

He excels at mocking the absurdities of modern life by exploiting loopholes in social norms or legal procedures, such as taking advantage of Australians being barred from running for president due to being puppets (he explained this fact on his show Randy is Sober). For instance, only US citizens are legally eligible to run and Randy couldn’t due to being Australian).

He is an outspoken critic of celebrity culture, often making fun of how they live their lives. Additionally, he likes to parody popular apps such as Photo Booth by using it to spy on people while they’re away from their computer or upstaging his friends in real life with fake footage while they’re out and about or at work.

Although he’s a writer, he tends to be an immense procrastinator. At TEDx Melbourne conference he demonstrated this with an entire show dedicated to it; another show discussed his inability to finish books due to procrastination!

He uses humor to highlight his shortcomings and weaknesses, which makes him seem more relatable and human to audiences. A master of self-deprecation and humor, his acts have become ever more humorous with time – this unique and talented comedian should definitely not be missed!

Sebastian Bach – Singer and Actor

Sebastian Bach has made his mark in the music industry through both bands and solo efforts, most notably as lead vocalist of heavy metal band Skid Row. His career spans over 30 years, as he still performs as both singer and actor.

Canadian-American musician Sebastian Bach has sold more than 20 million records worldwide both as part of Skid Row and on his own as an artist. As well as performing music, Bach has also appeared in multiple TV shows and Broadway productions, such as Gilmore Girls for five consecutive seasons as a regular player as well as roles in Trailer Park Boys among many others.

Bach began his musical journey at an early age. Starting out singing in Kid Wikkid at 14 was just the start; eventually the band disbanded, and he started performing weddings where he met members from Skid Row, who were so impressed with his performance they invited him to join their band!

After his debut album with Skid Row was released in 1989, Bach released additional albums with them before leaving to form his own solo project and release Bring ‘Em Bach Alive in 1997 – followed by Forever Wild in 2004 and Angel Down in 2007. Additionally, Bach joined Guns N’ Roses on their Chinese Democracy tour after reconciling with them.

With a long career spanning rock music and three solo albums to his credit – What Do I Got to Lose?, which was released this Thursday – Bach has produced many hit songs over his long and fruitful musical career. These collaborations include Orianthi (Alice Cooper, Michael Jackson) and Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge, Slash).

Former Skid Row frontman Skid Row also enjoys an acting career that includes roles on television shows such as Gilmore Girls and Trailer Park Boys. In 2006, he took part in VH1 show SuperGroup alongside musicians Ted Nugent, Scott Ian and Evan Seinfeld.

Singer Tony Bennett reportedly estimated to be worth approximately $11 Million. His assets include real estate in both the U.S. and Canada, classic cars collection, as well as Broadway performances like Jekyll & Hyde and Jesus Christ Superstar as well as guest appearances on numerous popular TV shows over the last decade.

Monster Jam – Fun For the Whole Family

Monster Jam can be an exciting family experience! However, it may also be somewhat intimidating.

Starting off, this event can be loud; so loud that ear protection may be necessary! But then again, it’s truly amazing seeing some of the world-famous trucks close up and personal! Each competition showcases different types of trucks.

The History of Monster Jam

Monster Jam may seem staged and scripted today, but its roots lie elsewhere. Monster Jam first emerged during the lifted pickup era of the 1970s when owners started outfitting factory four-wheel drive trucks with monster tires to create competitive displays at car shows.

United States Hot Rod Association soon started sanctioned racing events in arenas and stadiums, while Bigfoot was born after its video showing it crushing cars caught the attention of a promoter.

Feld Entertainment expanded this sport by selling tickets to watch drivers like Dennis Anderson’s Grave Digger compete at indoor stadium blowouts and smaller arena shows. Fans enjoy experiencing these 12,000-pound machines competing against one another for speed, skill and freestyle competitions on an arena show floor; during which drivers perform tricks and stunts over an extensive ground area. A team of eight spends 18-20 hours over three days building tracks specifically for each event.

Two-Wheel Skills Challenge

Though racing and freestyle dominate most events, two-wheel skills competition is also an exciting part of the show. Attendees use smartphone apps to rank drivers performing tricks on two wheels as they perform them; those with the highest average score win.

Drivers also face the unique challenge of high jumping during a stadium event (known as the Great Clips Skills Challenge in arenas). To do this, they must run up an almost vertical ramp using their rear tires to propel themselves upward until reaching level flight.

Weston Anderson will attempt to defend his title driving Grave Digger while Brianna Mahon competes for her inaugural Event Championship behind Scooby Dooa. These two drivers will engage in an epic head-to-head battle of speed and skill as they compete for this fierce event championship race of 12,000-pound trucks equipped with powerful Chevrolet engines producing 1,500 HP and 1,100 Lbs of Torque.

Head-to-Head Racing

Monster Jam began in 1995 as an event featuring racing and two-wheel skills competitions as well as freestyle competition. Freestyle competition gives drivers who didn’t make it into the race the opportunity to display their talents, even if they don’t compete head-on against each other for points. Trucks compete head-to-head against one another for points.

HowStuffWorks took an exclusive behind the scenes tour during a recent Monster Jam event, visiting both pits to observe truck crews as they worked to prepare all 83 trucks that would compete on the track.

Monster Jam’s team builds a custom track for every show, which requires significant work but ensures truck teams will experience a fresh new layout every city the tour visits.

Be aware that although trucks are designed with safety in mind, this sport remains potentially risky. There have been rare instances in which something unintentionally launched from one of the trucks–be it dirt, shrapnel or crushed car debris–has struck spectators unknowingly and caused injury.

Freestyle

Freestyle competitions provide drivers two minutes (one and a half in arena shows) to drive their trucks over ramps, junked cars and other obstacles on an open floor surface. The truck that scores the most points in this category will be declared the winner of the event.

Monster Jam shows prior to its incorporation of freestyle into its head-to-head racing format often employed a method known as “cheer off”, in which audience members counted how often each truck received cheers, with those receiving the most applause earning an edge in competition.

Monster Jam’s freestyle competition is one of its most thrilling elements, providing fans a rare opportunity to see massive trucks up close and meet their favorite drivers – an invaluable chance for families looking to take pictures or collect autographs! This competition provides great photo opps!

Oliver Hazard Band are three indie-folk songwriters from Waterville, Ohio who compose folk songs that evoke Americana that is often romanticized–namely small towns near rivers like Maumee where unvarnished love, bitter outcomes and hometown grit are abundant. Oliver Hazard band’s music captures this spirit while adding their own creative twist that keeps audiences coming back even in smaller venues!
