Cast of Hamilton in Chicago

The Chicago cast for Hamilton was recently announced. Miguel Cervantes will star as Alexander Hamilton. Cervantes prepared for his performances in Chicago by playing the role of Alexander Hamilton on Broadway at three matinee performances in July. Karen Olivo will play Angelica Schuyler. Alexander Gemignani will take on the role of King George III, while Ari Afsar will play Eliza Hamilton. Joshua Henry will play Aaron Burr, Hamilton’s friend who later became a bitter rival. Jonathan Kirkland will play the role of George Washington.

Why Hamilton Has Become Legendary

Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. Hamilton was an immigrant from the West Indies who was a chief supporter of George Washington during the Revolutionary War and later went on to become the United States’ first Treasury Secretary.

Hamilton has become popular because of its retelling of the story of the founding of the United States, and also because of the music, which combines many genres. The songs in the musical contain elements of hip hop, jazz, R&B, rap, and Broadway.

Nas and Kehlani will be joining Grammy Award-winning hip hop artist Lauryn Hill on her MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Tour. The tour will include dates across North America followed by a series of shows in Japan in October before returning to the United States.

The Diaspora Calling! Tour came about as a result of Hill’s Diaspora Calling! Music Festival that was held in Brooklyn in April. Opening acts will include Seun Anikulapo Kuti, Paul Beaubrun, and the Soul Rebels.

Lauryn Hill and Nas had a hit with their collaboration “If I Ruled the World,” which was featured on Nas’ second album, It was Written, in 1996. Nas will perform at shows in Seattle and San Francisco. Kehlani will perform at shows in New York, San Francisco, and Seattle.

According to Hill, the purpose of the tour is to promote togetherness and to celebrate the art and culture of the African diaspora. She believes it is especially fitting given racial tensions in many places that have been making the news recently.

Do NFL Season Tickets Include the Playoffs and the Super Bowl?

NFL season ticketsIf you enjoy watching football in person and live close to your favorite team’s stadium, NFL season tickets can be a smart investment. You can take in the games up close and enjoy the thrill of watching your favorite team compete along with thousands of other fans.

NFL season tickets include passes to all of your favorite team’s regular season home games. They do not include away games. If your team advances to the playoffs and the Super Bowl, your season tickets will not include tickets to those games. You will need to buy them separately. You might be able to purchase those tickets before they go on sale to the general public if you are a season ticket holder.

buyTickets.com offers NFL season tickets to your favorite team’s regular season home games. Some of the most popular teams that fans want to order season tickets to see are the Los Angeles Rams, the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Carolina Panthers, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams played their final season in St. Louis in 2015. They will begin playing in Los Angeles this year at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. They will be there for three seasons until construction of the Los Angeles Entertainment Center is completed.

New York Giants

The New York Giants played their last season with head coach Tom Coughlin last year. Fans can see them play under the leadership of new head coach Ben McAdoo at MetLife Stadium this year.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles’ roster underwent several changes last year. New players, including Sam Bradford, Byron Maxwell, Kiko Alonso, and DeMarco Murray were added to the team. This will be the first season with new head coach Doug Pederson. Season ticket holders can watch all regular season games at Lincoln Financial Field.

Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers had one of the best seasons in NFL history last year. They went 15-1 in the regular season and advanced to the Super Bowl but were defeated by the Denver Broncos. Fans can see if they will make it to the Super Bowl again with season tickets to home games at Bank of America Stadium.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals had the best season in franchise history with 13 wins last season. They won their first NFC West title since 2009 and advanced to the NFC Championship, which they lost to the Carolina Panthers. Fans can attend home games at University of Phoenix Stadium to see if the Cardinals will make it to the championship again this year.

Are NFL Preseason Games Worth Going To? Absolutely!

NFL preseason gamesMany NFL fans want to attend as many games as they possibly can during the regular season. Some also enjoy starting off by going to preseason games to see their favorite teams and players compete. Even though these games do not count toward the ultimate championship, they are still important and worth seeing. If you are on the fence about whether or not you should buy tickets to a preseason game, you should definitely do it so you can see your team’s players in action as they gear up for the start of the regular season.

Coaches Are Testing New Players

The preseason is a time for coaches to test new players who were recently signed to the team. It is also an opportunity for fans to see new players in action and see how they are fitting in with their new teammates and working together. If a player is new to a city, it may be the first time many local fans have ever seen him compete at a live game. A preseason game is an excellent opportunity for both coaches and fans to evaluate the prospects of new players.

See Rookies Compete for the First Time

For rookies who have never played before large crowds, a preseason game can be the first opportunity to experience what that is like. It can be an overwhelming experience for a new player that can push him to perform his best. You can be right there to see rookies compete for the first time and cheer them to victory.

Watch Your Favorite Returning Players

Of course, a preseason game is also a chance to see many of your favorite returning players. They will not play as much during the preseason as they normally would because coaches want to limit the risk of injury, but a preseason game can still offer you the opportunity to watch your favorite players if you can’t wait for the regular season.

Temple of the Dog to Go on Tour in Honor of Album’s 25th Anniversary

Temple of the Dog
By Ivo Kendra (Derivative of Chris Cornell) [CC BY-SA 2.0], via Wikimedia Commons
Five musicians from Seattle – singer Chris Cornell, guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Matt Cameron – got together in 1991 to form a group known as Temple of the Dog. The band released a self-titled LP but never went on tour. Now, in honor of the album’s 25th anniversary, they will embark on a five-date tour planned for this fall. Chris Cornell said in a statement that they decided to reunite to pay homage to the band and to see what it would be like to tour together.

Special Editions of Album to Be Released

UMe will release a 25th anniversary edition of the LP on September 30. It was remixed by Brendan O’Brien, who has collaborated with both Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Four versions will be available: a four-CD Super Deluxe package, a double LP, a two-CD set, and a single CD. The CDs are now available for pre-order.

The Super Deluxe and two-CD editions will include five outtakes from the studio, as well as seven demo recordings. The demos include two songs, “Angel of Fire” and “Black Cat,” that did not appear on the album. The Super Deluxe set also includes a DVD with live footage, music videos, and other features.

History of Temple of the Dog

Cornell decided to form Temple of the Dog after his friend and roommate, Andrew Wood, who was the lead singer for Mother Love Bone, died of an overdose. The band included Gossard and Ament, who were also members of Mother Love Bone, McCready, and Cameron, who was a member of Soundgarden along with Cornell. Gossard, Ament, and McCready were also forming a new group at the time that would come to be known as Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam’s lead singer, Eddie Vedder, provided backup vocals for three songs on Temple of the Dog.

Cornell said Temple of the Dog was formed to record an album simply for the band members’ own enjoyment. They were not worried about what anyone except them and their friends would think of it.

Although Temple of the Dog never went on tour in the 1990s, they did perform together several times. They played together in Seattle in November and December 1990. Cornell performed with Pearl Jam for two shows at PJ20 in Wisconsin in 2011 and at Neil Young’s Bridge School benefit show in 2014. Temple of the Dog also played two songs at Benaroya Hall in Seattle last year.
